I'm currently working on my thesis about webtoon readability and what can designers do to improve the reading experience. It would be very helpful if you guys could take some minutes to complete it. I'm writing my thesis for my Bachelor Degree, one of the parts is about user experience (I'm in Communication Design). This is why I need to do the survey, my advisors recommended me to not use only my opinions on it and rather ask other readers how they feel.

It looks weird that "Mangadex" appears as an option in the question of which platform you read, but doesn't appear in the question, which platform do you find the most accessible...
(Btw, can you, please, explain, what exactly do you mean by "accessible"? )

I think about accessible I mean, which one is easier to use, friendlier. and easier to read from as well.
Yes of course, once I'm done with it I can share the results, it would probably be in a month and a half though.

Having finished the survey here are the results:
Out of 340 results
Gender of Readers:
81,7% Female
1,8% Non Binary
14,5% Male
1,8% wrong answers or non answers (someone got confused with genre and wrote shoujo, and other people wrote jokes)

Most Used Platforms:
First Place Mangadex
Second Line Webtoon
Third Webcomics
Fourth Unofficial sites
Fifth Tapas
Then other platforms

Where do they read from:
216 people said smartphones
67 Desktop and smartphone
44 desktop only
24 tablet

Readers Age:
38,8% 15-19
38,8% 20-25
10,7% 26-30
6,8% -15
3,8% 31-35
1,5% +35

Most complains
Readability (text being small or unreadable, looks good on smartphone but bad on desktop, too little space)
Ads presence
Slow Internet
Design concerns (too much gutter aka too much white space between panels, doesn't look as good on desktop, poor quality images or being too small)
Creators not sticking to their upload schedules.

Most popular genres:
Romance with 42,8%, followed by fantasy, then action.

Whether music or animations are annoying:
Most people said no.
