Not really, I think my choice in using the name "Dragoon" was more a reference to games like Legend of Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon, and FInal Fantasy in that regard. Though Kirby does have a big influence on my own work as well given that it's one of my favorite games. (Selena herself was actually loosely based off of Kirby to a degree, actually.)
I see I'm not the only one with a character based off of Kirby.
I mean, it's a great game series, so I wouldn't be surprised that a lot of people take inspiration from it.
