How much are tipping coins worth in US currency? I know I've been told before but I forgot.

I seem to remember one comparison where 20,000 coins = $20
so if you tip 100 coins, the creator earns 1 cent
I don't know if this is (still) true, but I'm like 87% sure it's true

I thought I read somewhere that something like 1000 - 1200 coins = $1. That would make sense given the prices to buy coins at the coin shop - it would allow most of the value of the coins to be passed to creators while Tapas makes a certain margin also on coin sales.

Shadowcat your math is a tad wrong - if 20K coins = $20, then 100 coins = 10 cents, not 1 cent.

So it's something around 1200~1300 coins = $1
