I've been reading Tarot cards for nearly two decades, so I can answer any questions you might have.

Depends on how many artists there are and how detailed they want the cards to be. There's 78 cards in a Tarot deck. The Major Arcana (the most famous Tarot cards) number 22, while the remaining 56 cards are divided into 4 suits of 14 cards each. Each suit corresponds to one of the four classical elements (earth, air, fire, water) and has pip cards from 1 to 10 and 4 face cards consisting of a page, knight, queen, and king. The 40 pip cards require the least detail.

How about posting a list of all the cards, and people can call dibs on the one they want most, and when one is taken, note that on the listing.
The major arcana will probably all get called first, but there are plenty of minor arcana, that could be fun, too.

That would be any of the duces: two of cups, two of wands, two of swords, or two of coins.

P.S. these are just the most common names for the suites. You can change the name, like swords to daggers, and it still means the same things, so alternate names get used all the time.
