Tapas novelists, today is the day after the deadline. Strangely, today is also 4/20, but let's pretend we didn't notice that. I am curious to read how we think that we did. How do you review your own projects? Do you have a favorite (not counting your own)?

I wrote a whole series of them called Fan-Friction, but I took them down for a few rewrites. I'd wanted to redo them as a comic series without the riff aspect, but I don't know if or when I would get around to that since comics are so time-consuming. I'm half-tempted to put them up again somewhere for the time being.

I'm actually glad I submitted to this contest, because having to do regular updates for a week or two forced me to finish act 1 of the book, which was stagnating.

I've been following this thread since the beginning, but I've only found the courage to post today. I found the contest very rewarding since I did write at least 1k a day for a week and had earned many readers. I think this contest was great to find new stories since novels on Tapas seem to be scarce.

Some entries I'm looking forward to reading are The Marilyn Clone, The Catalysts, and M for Monster. Hopefully, I can read more after those.

And this is my entry.

I've seen the discussion on the topic about BL/GL stories and yes, I do use it to identify the ending relationship in my story. I have the same mindset when it comes to labeling a story Yaoi or Yuri, but I see BL/GL on the same level as labeling a story as lgbt. It's just narrowed down. My story isn't written specifically for anyone. It's a fantasy with a slow burn relationship and lots of action.
