I know that, but even if you don't have the money to pay someone to make a good cover for your book, you can offer something else in exchange for the artist. There are ways to make it work. I would use a branch with leaves to sweep the forest floor behind me, so it would cover my tracks. And they need to be extra careful not to break off small branches/leaves/etc. when going through the forest. Other than that, I have no idea, but I hope this helps!!!
Book cover is just as important as the content, because that's the first thing that catches the eye. If it looks someone threw it together in paint, that's amateurish. Will your prose be just as bad?
