Tapastic Ad Revenue Program Details!

Yep, I bet a lot of us, myself included have been cheekingly telling others that we're now 'professional' comic creators.

For unknown artists, getting any cash for something you'd be doing anyway a pretty awesome deal.

I agree, I think ad based revenue for creators is the wave of the future, but as much as I love what Tapastic is doing, I think it's going to have to be more in the 50-70 percent range to see a real 'living' being made off of sites that pay creators. Youtube just boosted theirs to 50 I think I read....and it still takes a lot, but this is a really awesome thing for Tapastic to be doing, especially with the sponsorships from other readers, combining a model like Patreon with Youtube is an absolute step in the right direction............now i just need a way to get fans...lol

A: We currently take flat 30% of Ad Revenue to cover our operating costs.

A weird thing I noticed with AdBlocker: Even if I have it disabled on Tapastic, the ads on comics only show up sometimes when I refresh the page, and sometimes it acts like I still have AdBlocker on. I had to completely disable it on my Chrome browser for ads to properly show up. I don't really mind since I have it disabled on most sites I frequent anyway cause, well... supporting people. But I wanted to bring that to attention in case this is popping up for other people.

We have been experiencing a few issues caused by AdBlocker but a majority of those pertain to the AdBlockers themselves. Because of this a lot the fixes are out of hands, sorry about that!

Well that's the beauty of Ad Revenue! Unlike the supporter program where it just depends on who wants to give you money, ad revenue grows as your readership grows So just work hard to get more readers in and keep them coming in every day, and that 9 cents will be something much bigger some day! ^ ^ <3

That's a fantastic programm and I think tapastic's cut of the money is very modest, so thank you for that!

There's one thing though which bothers me a bit - tapastic encourages users to get the mobile app, but the app
doesn't display ads. Isn't this actually bad for tapastic? So far the only ways for tapastic to gain money are
support, premium and ads, which are all turned off in the app.

We'll be adding mobile ads soon.

What's important to note is that mobile ads have a much higher payout than native web ads. We'll also be adding support and premium to mobile All in due time.
