Tapastic mobile not creator friendly?

Hello everyone
So I guess many of you who use tapastic mobile app on daily basis just like me.
But what i have experienced is the fact its not that creator friendly app....
I mean yeah sure. If you just want to read comics its great!
But if you are a content creator , you cant really see the activity that you are so used to see on the PC version
And that annoys me a bit because i want to interact with my readers even though im not sitting in front of my computer screen.
It would be really nice to have that Activity bar implemented in the mobile version so we, the content creators , as well as readers could interact with each other anywhere anytime and not just behind our desks.

Yes, it is really irritating. For that reason, I don't use the Tapastic app. I always switch to "Full Site" when checking things on my phone.

I realize that the app isn't made for creators and is catered specifically to readers, so I just kind of deal with it. :/

I didn't have access to the tapastic app since I use a windows phone, and they only made the app for ios and droid. Well it looks like I didn't miss anything.XD I'll continue to use my phones browser and switch to full site. Whats the difference between the app and the mobile site?

I do the same, both app and mobile version are useless for creators :/ I'd be ok with it if it just remembered my settings and didn't load the mobile version all the time.

Agreed. There's no easy way of checking your notifications from your mobile full stop, and that's a real pity since the site is so heavily geared towards creator/consumer exchange. That dialogue is what makes Tapastic so much fun. I hope they can do something about it.

Last time we brought it up, in a live stream townhall meeting i think, it was mentioned that the app is specifically aimed and geared towards the reader's pleasure. And they want to maintain that separation that the app is for readers and the site is for creators. Maybe we can have a tapastic creator app in the future? One that lets us schedule posts and interact with readers more easily?

I like this idea, like a tapastic dashboard app! separate to the reader one so you can do all the thing that you can on your dashboard, check ad rev, upload supporter posts etc

I would totally be down with a separate app for creators. I think that would really enhance the experience and help creators, and by extension, also benefit the end users.

I just accepted the Tapastic app as a good way to read comics on my phone. I like it as it is right now. It has agreat clean interface, easy to navigate and it works smoothly.

Junking it up for creator's might ruin it.

However, YouTube does have two separate apps. One for viewers and another for creators.

So for those who want it, i agree a second creator only app would be good.

Yeah, I'm pretty ok with just waiting till I can get to a comp. I can see why they would want to a have a streamlined reader friendly app, and at the risk of bogging it down I think they should just stick with that.

Yes! We've been pushing it off as we're planning on releasing some updates to the site, but we've hit a few snags and delays. I'm planning on jump starting some more townhall meetings soon!

My feature request is sharing thumbnail controls that work on mobile.

Hi. My comics been running for about six months now. I am currently only able to access the internet from my tablet. So far I have been able to update my comic using the tapastic site on the tablet browser. The only thing I can't do is set the sharing thumbnail. I can't click and drag the yellow square using the touch screen.

If there were a creator app or the dashboard optimised for mobile I would like to see buttons or a slider added to allow the preview to be set. I'm not so bothered about scaling the selection to fit a panel but being able to move it up and down the page would be great.

I know there aren't many people with this problem, and the site was never intended to be used this way. But the fact you can almost manage your comic from a tablet is so cool! If it weren't for this one thing!

I agree the reading app should be as simple as possible. Looking forward to the new one.

I agree, it's really good app when you're reading comics but trying to access your account and updates is a no-go :C I hope they do something about it because I want to check up on things if I'm afk

You can always access the site via your phone's browser and disable the mobile version redirection in the browser itself by ticking in the "request desktop version". Not elegant, sure, but it gets you access to your dashboard on the go.
