Hello everyone. My Kickstarter ends in 11 Days. I haven't reached my Pledge goal. Yet, I am 100% certain that I will. How is that possible, you may wonder? Allow me to help you understand, so that you can create a successful Kickstarter.

First, here is my Kickstarter:

Here's some promo art:

I am about 1/4 away from reaching my Pledge goal.

1) Some of you may wonder, why isn't my Pledge goal higher? I've seen others get lots more in a shorter time.
Answer: This is only my second Kickstarter, and I have only been on social media for a year and a half. Given that info, I'm doing exceptionally well for someone who came out of no where. So you have a chance as well. People with large numbers have that because: A) The creator already had a massive social following. B) They have already done various Kickstarters, so they are largely gaining support from previous supporters from their past Kickstarters. The lesson here is, having low numbers may be because you are new, and are just starting to build an online presence. So don't fret.

2) How do you build a large audience of supporters who will Back your Kickstarter?
Answer: a) Post new art at least every week on Twitter, to keep up the "pulse" of your presence. b) Understand what your comic is. Break down what it's about at it's core. Present your work to people who would most likely resonate with it on Twitter. For instance, my comic largely focuses on Diversity Of Thought. So I reached out to comic lovers who had interest in that topic. Many of my followers came from this.

3) Should I pay for advertisers?
Answer: No. Not in the beginning. That is for something you may want to do after you already have built your large audience by yourself. Many places have unreasonable prices that are clearly better suited for bigger projects that are already doing incredibly well. You should focus on advertising your comic yourself, as you know best what it is, and who your audience will most likely be. These advertisers tend to say, "we provide you with large traffic". Yeah, but is that the RIGHT traffic for your comic? Technically, they are right, but in reality, the wrong traffic is = to no traffic. You need the right traffic of people who would be most likley to be into your specific product, Your comic. Again, only you would know that.

4) I'm struggling on what kind of comic I should make. Should I choose a mainstream idea, or do something unique to my interest?
Answer: Yeah My comic series is quite unique, so you already know what I chose. I'm not one to follow the crowd. I have my own thoughts & ideas that I want to share with the world. Even when it comes to romance in stories, which my comic series has as well later on, I care more about figuring out interesting ways to go about portraying that, instead of following what's already been done before, by various other creators. Sure, following the crowd can make things easier, and if this is what you desire, go for it. Nothing wrong with being mainstream, however you must ask yourself, will you truly be happy with that decision? I personally wouldn't and this is why I take on topics in my story that most people shy away from. I don't think we should shy away from anything. Speak the truth, that's what matters. So, it is up to you to decide, whether to go mainstream, or unique. Unique is almost always more risky, but could provide massive reward to you personally, and maybe beyond.

Okay, I have a lot of advice to give. Just ask me any questions here, and I'll have answers. I've studied this quite a bit, as should you as well if you desire to be successful with Kickstarters. I've read that most people's KS's fail. I succeeded on the first try with my first chapter. (which was Chapter 2. I didn't know about KS when I did Chapter 1.) This one will be no different. I would like all of you to have the same confidence in yours.

Ask any questions you'd like. Oh, and of course, if you'd like to support my Kickstarter because you like the art and story info, please do. We artists and writers need to stick together and help support each other. And if you have a KS you'd like me to support, let me know.

Your promo art is crazy realistic yet cartoonish. I love it.

To Kalebell: Thank you so much!

To Lensing: No problem. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Loving the art style. I just backed it!

PS: I'm about to launch a new campaign in June. I've been lucky enough to have done 5 successful campaigns since the pandemic began, and I'm also not really social media people. = Happy to chime with kickstarter-related advice etc..

Omg! Thank you so much danny! You are now a Part of Team Aetherius, as this series can't exist without both Creator and Backer. I hope to keep all supporter's interests all the way till the last Chapter, Chapter 15, so everyone can see what happens to the main characters.

I just clicked your notification button on your Kickstarter. When your Kickstarter is up, I'll back it as well.

Also, I'm glad you're happy to Chime with Kickstarter related advice.

This is awesome!

Cheers,

Hi everyone! As promised, my Kickstarter just got FULLY BACKED!

If you want to know how I was able to predict this, ask me anything.

It's all about building friendships and seeking out people who will be most likely to like your comic.

There's still a few days left if you'd like to help support the project:

heck yes! more peeps on the forum should check your work out! it looks great, and the story seems like a ton of fun!

Thank you! I hope they will. I suspect more people will when they see Chapter 3.

I think it will relate to more mainstream audiences.

Like, people who like Akira, the Matrix, & Final Fantasy 7 the remake, will like this I think.

Maybe that is when more people start to take a look at this series. We'll see.

I'm glad you're into it!
