I think an avatar choice says a lot about the artist, what is your avatar of and why did you pick it?
Is it you? Your comic's MC? A matching one with someone else?

(Mine is my comic's MC!)

a good sleebping boy

It's my dog, and I don't think mine says a lot about me X'D But I agree that can be the case for some!

It's a me. Your typical, kindly, neighbourly amino acid, Phenylketonurics (specifically, phenylalanine)

He's from a tiny exchange my mom and I had when I was 13. I was drinking a diet cola and asked her what "phenylketonurics" was, to which she replied in a horror-inspired groan, "Phenylketonurics is your soul." AND IT WAS.

Of course with further research, phenylketonurics is the term used for those with an inability to metabolise the amino acid phenylalanine. But aspartame/saccharine and artificial sugar process in our biochemistry appealed to me deeply, I found correlation of sensitivities to them affecting neurological components on a whole new level. Micro-examination is fascinating and, for me, structures such a cool platform for art creation.

it's me! I have used this same thing for years across the web as i am a caricaturist it represents me perfect, (but not i don't live in an ink bottle or grant wishes)

its a drawing i did of myself for a v short comic over a year ago now, just because... i have very few avatar-friendly drawings.

It's-a me! I need to make my hair color darker though, I recently dyed it.

I draw a new avatar for myself around 2 times a year and have been doing that for ages. Part of my "brand" lol.

@aronthemason I never realized you were coming out of an ink bottle! I always thought it was like a bobble head stand

I had a corgi that one of my friends drew for my avatar forever. Haha. Now it's back to the main characters of my comic. One of the heroes with the villain. I picked it because it is pretty and I like pretty things. XD

My illustrator friends all have character mascots for their art pages and I felt weird to have one of my story characters represent me in an avatar, so I made my own mascot.

I combined the two things I love into one: Potatoes and cats. It's a catato. And it's in a sexy polka dot bikini.

ForStormspectrum the most unusual thing about him are his rainbow colored eyes. Everybody points it out to him and I thought it would be a cool and mysterious avatar for the comic.

ForTyphoomerang wich is the spin off comic for Stormspectrum I though it would be fun to have sort of a similar avatar since his story is also a origin story. And because I want all the volumes to be in separate series I thought using the avatars this way it would be easier to tell it apart. The other origin stories will have similar avatars but the continuing story will have different ones.
