This makes me think about the ramifications of tooth development in humans. One basic thing about enamel and tooth development in most hominids is the consumption of meat over plants over liquid and how a loss of one can result in a huge difference in dental progression :o

Some factoids from my novel In the Angels' Stead:

Vampires were originally created by demons using magical artifacts called Black Daggers. Each dagger was bound to a mortal human, granting them immortality, supernatural speed and strength, and a thirst for blood. Though many of the first vampires have since been slain, their legacy lives on through those they turned. All vampires draw their power from the Black Dagger of their bloodline; if the Dagger is destroyed, all vampires who draw their power from it will die. Thus, these artifacts are usually hidden away and carefully guarded in remote parts of the world.

Despite being the nation's wealthiest city and the royal seat of power, there are no immortals within or nearby 'the Capital'. The immortals, possessing Angel-given powers, were a threat to the authority of the Church, and they were pressured into leaving by its influential leaders.

I love this idea! I'll give you one from my story, Uniques United, and it involves one of the main characters:

This is Daniel. Daniel is a mouse. He's a big fella, standing tall at 6 foot 4. Daniel is also a Royal Investigator. If something strange, bizarre, or scary has happened and you don't know what caused it or who did it, you call Daniel. He leads entire research teams to gather as much information as he can about any scene where the incident took place and funnels all the information into easy-to-read reports. Just to put this in perspective, Daniel serves a king in a medieval world but his home planet is of a modern-day era, so he may say things that are unfamiliar in medieval fantasy lingo.

Daniel's favorite thing to do when condensing information into these reports is to describe what's going on in a stupidly simplified way. Example: People hear strange noises coming from an abandoned chapel in the woods and Daniel is called to check it out. Daniel observes from a window, out of sight, accompanied by two guards. This is what he writes in his report:

"Report:

Location: Small, abandoned chapel in the woods, northwest of Angath.
Threat level: Low
Reason: Occult activity. Reports of strange noises and red lights coming from the chapel.

Description: What happens when a man in a black robe and a man in a brown robe start drinking together? They start chanting stuff, which in this case happens to be a demonic ritual.

Requesting a scout to keep an eye on the chapel in case things get out of hand.

Funnily enough, I namely just did that because I had a joke where Nixon comes back to life and sees all the "gate" controversies and wonders why everybody's giving their hotels such weird names.

so in Mirror Monster, the world that josie teleported herself to is mostly inhabited by demons, although my version of them look different than the typical ones. not only is this world in a different dimension, it's also a different planet called "new earth". (it's a lazy name, I know), but that's because in the near past a group of humans somehow managed to get themselves there, and they named it after earth due to the living conditions being so similar. that's also why some of the characters are mixes of demons and humans (like erena) because they're the descendants of these people. xenor is from yet another dimension, but this one is connected to the one he's currently in; it's basically the afterlife. however, species like xenor's which are either called shadowlings or shadow demons (they're 2 completely different races) already live there, and if a demon or half demon from erena's dimension dies, they end up in xenor's old dimension (called xero, but it's not named after him) and turn into a shadow person. they keep most of their old physical traits but their skin and hair become dark grey, and their eyes turn white. xero also was ruled by monarchs from the family named Ardenia, and xenor was one of them and the reason why it got screwed up. (well it's mostly his cousin ramzy's fault but she took inspiration from him by being irresponsible and running away to a place where she could rule her very own kingdom). basically only people directly from the bloodline could rule until they all disappeared (and this did NOT involve incest), and they could never change their last names after marriage, if they ever did get married, or just in general. (I don't feel like spoiling any more of xenor's backstory just yet). also about the mirror monster, the one that was already shown in the comic was just a watered down version of it. the mirror monster lives in some sory of void that needs yet another mirror to get to. (yes, there's multiple). if it enters the portal to earth it could destroy the whole planet by spreading all over it, and that was erena's plan for it.

For Terra Prima:

Most of the antagonists are versions of the main characters from different planes of reality.

Planespheres are machines than can cross planes. For convenience and safety, they are assembled in orbit where it is easier to move around the earth (like the ISS). Spaceships don't exist in my story, so if someone claims to have seen a UFO it was actually a planesphere.

The story begins with the main characters living in the same locations as the authors were at the time the story occured to us (Chile and US).

In my first version, my character Gother from the comic Forest Spirits was supposed to have a bat's ears
His name comes from a language (I don't remember which one) but I remember that it means: good

1. Roenan Farrah is being held captive in an enemy country who hold opposite ideals of his home country.
2. Roenan is finding out that his past was a complete lie, and he is trying to figure out exactly who he is. He does know he is a very bold and very driven person and likes to get what he wants.
3. The two closest people to him are a fellow prisoner of war from his country and one of the enemies who is watching over him.

Alright here we go! Just some random facts about some of the species in my world:
Elves are considered religious fanatics by pretty much everyone except themselves.
Goblins think they are the true keepers of history and knowledge but are loners.
Fairies are hot headed and violent, but are at the head of medicinal advancement.

A type of study in my world is called 'Cursology". Curses are fairly common, but dwell in a completely alien form of magic compared to others, therefore necessitating a completely independent branch of study focusing on them. They're made of a unstable, constantly shifting form of magic, making them hard to cure, but due to how they function (IE: Physically informing a cursed about what curse they have just been saddled with), they're easy to catalog, basically meaning that Cursology can also be a laundry list of possible curses that are floating about the world, with a sliding scale of how easy they are to be cured and how bad they can be. Curses in strength can range from the annoying (The cursed' eyes are now glow in the dark like flashlights), debilitating, (The cursed' bones are made of glass), instantly lethal, (A meteorite falls on them in 20 minutes), or outright helpful, (The cursed' skull is now as hard as diamond). So, much of Cursology's studies are put into trying to both find reliable cures for negative curses, but perhaps ways to influence and even purposefully place positive curses at will, hypothetically. A respected study, but ultimately the smallest of the Three Pillars of study; Magic, Science, and Curses.
