Make sure they have a queue, ask for progress. [Just be polite!]
As well look and see if they have a ToS and check if they have a turn-around time table there.

Sometimes what is posted on Instagram or so can be deceiving though so don't feel too bummed!
I personally post my random doodles way faster then I uploaded finished commission work so it can come off that I'm barely working even though it's the opposite! This could easily be the same thing!

But as said before: Check in with them.

Life happens but communication is important on both ends!

Alright time to bitch: I really wish people would stop doing things because they want fame and fortune. I get the fact that you want to make money doing the things you love but first, how about that fun? ;w; I see so many people on my side(writing) and my brothers(art) that people will go for something but then when they dont become popular enough, they quit. It makes me sad. And angry. But mostly sad.

Sometimes (cough people like me) we forget the fun of creating something new and turn it into all business. After the latest tipping event, I saw how much my work means to some of my readers, and I told me myself I need to push through the doubt. I also need to have realistic expectations on building up a following and enjoy the journey, not rush it to see the end results.

DAH! It's too damn cold!

It's cold outside! It's cold in the office building where I work! My A/C at home has been out for over a month, and the owner is dragging their feet on repairs, so it's cold there! It's cold everywhere!

The cold is triggering the dark half of my bipolar disorder and keeping me mildly sick with little reprieve. Cold outside is fine, but when every place I have to spend a lot of time inside isn't much better, I become irate -_- .
