So, I am one of the new book developers and my story is called Welcome to Shimmertown. The cover of my book depicts both my two characters, Justin and Lorelei.

What is your full name?

Justin: Justin Arnais

Lorelei: Gimme a pint and...Oh thanks Gulps down beer Lorelei Mae Quincy (ESQ.)

2: When and where were you born?

Justin: 1992, and I was born in the Mile-End area of Montreal. I've spent all my life here

Lorelei: Nosy aren't you. If you gotta know, 1908. I know I look 12 but life is different in Shimmertown for the Bureau. Where though? Portland, Maine; it was different back then.

Who are/were your parents? Names, occupations, personalities, etc.

Justin: My parents are Robert and Edith Arnais. They are not really interesting or anything. I am not really allowed to see them now because of the whole death thing. I am told they would not recognize me anyways. They are teachers, met in college; sweethearts really. I, can we move on...

Lorelei:.Ma and pops...jeez, they have been dead for so long. Good job on making this thing sad dude. Well, pops was a cobbler and a drunk, he'd be so proud of me; Ma was a seamstress, she used to help in a tailor's shop. They treated me alright, I guess. The mind fuzzes after being twelve for a hundred years.

Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

Justin: I was an only child...

Lorelei: Yep, now pint me; maybe I will tell you about her.

Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.

Justin: Well, as you know. I live in a small apartment in the business district of Shimmertown. The place is kind of cool once you get to know it. Just imagine a city like yours but completely outside the box. It's amazing that someone can get used to living near any and all of the mythological creatures and monsters we've all read about. To think that this place was under Montreal all this time (Well, under is the wrong choice of word...there is a sky). Think of shimmertown as a carnival, each district is vastly different from each other and they all somehow connect together. Take the graveyard district; that place is a small town in it's own. Mausoleums and underground dwellings, a pretty good diner called Ghoulsies, and the majority of the undead population make that place oddly charming. Shimmertown grew on me. It would on you too.

Lorelei: Let's just go out on a limb and say that I live in a collection of bars, I have a place, but that is just where I sleep and store my stabby things. You want where I actually 'live' just go visit The Salted Beard, god I love Gimlets bar.

What is your occupation?

Justin: Well, Lorelei just mentioned that she was bored and wanted me to answer. We're both workers for the B.S.M.R (Bureau of Supernatural and Mythological Relations). I've been told that we're social workers for interspecies relations in Shimmertown, but honestly, I swear, we act more like beat-cops. We basically investigate complaints, cases, and any riff-raff that the actual SPD don't want to investigate.

Justin: Ummmm, one of them?

Lorelei: Queen, yeah, don't deny it. (Esq.)

Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?

Justin: I am physically weak to knives apparently seeing as one killed me.

Lorelei: Wine, ugh....who drinks the stuff. Beer and hard stuff all the way.

Are you right or left-handed?

Justin: Right handed

Lorelei: Flips you off with both hands

What does your voice sound like?
Justin: I want to say rugged and manly but I know...I guess educated. Medium tone?

Lorelei: How the hell should I know, Like any other 108 year old little girl? Ugh. Why am I so old and still this small. Hangovers are a bitch when you're this, wait...What was the question again?

11. What does your voice sound like?

Crow: Not too low, not too high, at least for a man. And I have a very slight twang.

Miss: A lower female voice but not too low that you would mistake me as a man. I do like to sing from time to time. People tell me I am really good but they could just be saying it to be nice. (Personal note: I imaged her sounding a bit like Judy Collins)

Shanti: Many medical terms. I am a nurse, after all. And then, "justice", "travel", "women" and "love". And "sex"!

Sekhmet: Lots of engineering and military words. Swearwords. And "sex".

Miss: I dunno, maybe "I hate my..." followed by "mother", "father" or "life". I guess I also tell Shoo "I'm not ready" a lot when he wants to have sex, good thing he respects my boundaries.

Shanti: I have a very strong sense of justice and can't stand bullies. If I see someone in pain or being hurt, I always help, even if I get myself in trouble.

Sekhmet: The longer I go without sex, the angrier I become.

Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?

Shanti: I was a very happy child. My family loved me very much and I loved them back. I had good friends and grew up in a nice environment.

Sekhmet: A nightmare.

16. What is your earliest memory?

Shanti: Sitting on top of a sewing machine, pretending I was riding a horse!

Sekhmet: Being beaten unconscious.

Cassie "Lonely but ok"
JJ "the bits when i was at zoes house are ok, the rest was hell"

Roz "Most of my childhood was spent hiding and pretending i wasn't around"

Cassie "I remember my grandpa teaching me how to ride a bike"
JJ "meeting Zo' for the first time when we was three"
Zoe "my mom laughing because i cried when i saw slash throw a les paul off a cliff on m tv"
Roz "I remember my papa making me hide in an apple box when we crossed borders"

Conan: -snickers-
Din: Don't.
Conan: They asked the question, you gotta answer it now.
Din: I really don't.
Conan: He can't ask questions.
Din: -covers face-
Conan: ...and is embarrassed about it.
Din: It was because of a mistake. One I'm not like to make again. To answer his half of the question, Conan alternates between formality and a rural dialect. Interestingly, the formal speech shows when he's loosened his guard rather than the opposite.
(Din also tends to mess with his cravat when he's nervous, which is often.)

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Conan: -shrugs- Eh. Not...bad? My dad left when I was a kid, and my mom...well, she passed away when I was twelve. I don't remember much about my childhood before then. Lucie's family took me in, and I was happy as I could be, growin' up with them.
Din: In a word, turbulent.

16. What is your earliest memory?
Conan: It's...fuzzy...I remember my dad telling me...something. I don't remember what, but...Anyway, I was maybe seven at the time; It can't have been that important.
Din: The day a Nobleman came to Iridesa.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?

Crow: I really really like Westerns and everything cowboys. So I dress up and try to talk like one, Raven finds it annoying. I also don't eat solid food...I guess that might be seen as weird.

Miss: I admit, I am not the picture perfect image of femininity. I can sometimes come off a little masculine at times. I also let my hair fall in front of my face...at least it covers this crap I have on my cheeks.

Part 2: Growing Up
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?

Crow: Perfect until my parents left

Miss: Before my wedding, I would have said it was amazing but now I just see it as garbage.

16. What is your earliest memory?

Crow: Me sitting in my father's lap. I must have been 4 or 5.

Miss: I remember being in a crib and cuddled close to Shoo. I stopped using a crib when I was around 3.

17. How much schooling have you had?

Shanti: I have a university degree in Nursing and a Specialization in Nurseonry (I'm a special kind of nurse, I guess I explained that before, right?).

Sekhmet: I have a doctoral degree in Innovative Science and Technology from TINC (Technological Institute of NorCap).

18. Did you enjoy school?

Shanti: Some of it. Nursing school was the best.

Sekhmet: For the most part. In a way, it was my life saver and my curse.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?

Shanti: My family taught me a lot about life. University turned me into the best nurse I could ever dream of. And my assassins' organization taught me how to fight and kill stealthily, although I am a natural-born killer.

Sekhmet: I had formal combat training in the armed forces, but I didn't need it, because my species is born to fight. Literally. If anything, I learned how to turn into a ruthless bastard with no feelings. At least, for a while, I guess.

JJ "I would enjoy it better if they stopped the stupid caning!"

Roz "Yer it's better than having to work all the time like i use too"

Cassie "mostly from my family, especially my fighting skills from my dad"
JJ "Dunno all over really"
Zoe "the only one i care about is my singing and music and mom said i was born with that"

Shanti: Not really, no.

Sekhmet: No.

21.While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?

Shanti: I got along with my entire family! As already said, we really loved each other (still do).

Sekhmet: I hate my family. Not going to say anything else about that.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Shanti: Oh, I kept changing my mind on a lot of things, but I knew for sure I would have never wanted to be in the armed forces or anything like it!

Sekhmet: Anything. I just wanted to grow up as fast as I could.
