I have a cintiq 13hd and recently got an iPad Pro for portable drawing. Itās definitely novel at first, but after youāre used to it itās just an incredibly smooth & much speedier drawing process! For alternatives, Since the release of clip studio paint EX with a free 6 month license on iOS , Iāve been using my iPad more than my cintiq or computer! You can get refurbished iPad pros from Apple for half the price of a cintiq, and they still come with a warranty since youāre buying from the official reseller. Even brand new, theyāre far cheaper than cintiqs for a light, completely portable, and better digitised drawing experience. You could also have a look at surface pros, although I know the Apple Pencil and itās digitiser is possibly the best on the market.
I had a look at the yiynovas when I was first trying to buy a cintiq, and I was pretty sold on it until it turned out to be too difficult to get one in my country. The reviews that I was reading, which has the best information on display tablets of all different brands, were from http://frenden.com. I recommend you have a look if you need another perspective! He swears by the yiynova but points out the downsides too so you know what youāre getting into.
Some Examples of art drawn in my iPad, too, (since I was initially worried that itād be a clunky art tablet. Itās actually incredibly smooth and feels better & lighter than my cintiq!)
