I really appreciate that Tapastic is constantly trying new things to stay ahead of the curve. This is so important, and I think it's a huge reason why it's pulled so far ahead of other webcomic sites like Smackjeeves and Inkblazers and so on.
I'm disappointed to see the Tapastic Support Program go. I have a Patreon that's been going wonderfully for a year, but I'd been working on honing my Tapastic Support pitch for the last couple of months in hopes of launching soon because Tapastic is the one place where my readers don't seem to convert to Patreon supporters. It appears that most if not all of my Patreon supporters come from my main site or Smackjeeves rather than Tapastic. It's much easier on those other sites - which are more accommodating of author comments, info pages, and extras - to connect to readers and also keep them updated on what my Patreon has to offer, to link them to my Patreon, and to show them every week why I'm a creator they should have faith in supporting.
If I may request - please do all you can to integrate crowdfunding announcements into Tapastic, as you said you had planned. Please help provide us a sufficient platform to transition our Tapastic readers into Patreon supporters, whether or not we currently have an active Tapastic Support campaign, whether or not you're getting a cut of the earnings like you did with the TSP. Please remember: some of us can only continue making comics if money continues to come in to support us. Less comic creators = less content = less traffic to Tapastic.
Please give us the chance to spotlight our campaigns in a way that will be visible and easily accessible to our readers. All the better if you can help us spread the knowledge to your reader base as a whole so they understand what Patreon is and how it works - because the strength of the Tapastic Support Program was that management worked to educate readers on how it worked and vocally encouraged them to support creators with it. I understand that you're developing new ways to monetize different content, but please don't let this part of the plan become an afterthought. Please don't forget about the hardworking comic creators who continue to bring readers back with each update.
And again, I fully support your continuing efforts to find better ways to carry out your business, and I wish everyone loads of success.
