I think everyone agrees with that. Support and encouragement is important, even if it's only in the form of likes. Without that there's very little reason to post anything publicly. ^^;
...However...I feel like it needs to be said that "having more views than subscribers" is 100% normal. That's...just how media works. Viewing isn't just easier and less of a commitment than subscribing, it's also something you can do multiple times/across devices, depending on what a website counts as a 'view'. There should be more views than subscribers...if nothing else, it means your subscribers tend to look at your work more than once.
For example, The Amazing Digital Circus is a very popular series on YouTube: its pilot episode has 357 million views. Yet the channel itself has only 12 million subscribers...but that's not something to be upset about; that's normal. ^^; And in terms of ad revenue, that's great, because you make that money based on views alone. In internet business, subscribers are simply a means to the end of getting more views: loyal viewers who will hopefully keep coming back and bring more viewers in with them.
All that is to say, if you keep getting more views, you will eventually get more of everything else: more subs, more likes, and eventually, actual comments. ^^ So, y'know, keep that hope alive.
