I´m working on new training methods. This one is for proportions.
The goal is to get a better intuition for proportions and to be able to draw
the 8 head proportions without having to measure. I do this by tracing
over the proportions, then I eyeball the proportions by looking at the reference,
then I draw it from memory. 30 seconds each and then I repeat it until the
page is full. The whole page took me 24 minutes
I want to this next year with hands, poses whatever I need for the visual library

PS:
I couldn´t resist and did the side view too

@IndigoShirtProd omg I am hyped for the villains :hohoho: really love the Frog prince!! He kinda looks a bit like a cantaloupe and I love it even more xD

Well, I am still sick and even worse than before :information_desk_person: Soooooooooo tired of it. Got some rest, but now making an update for tomorrow.

Oh, and happy holidays to everyone, whatever you are celebrating! :relieved:

The surface is pretty great. More space for my pen strokes. Before i used a small Huion tablet. I got used to it after using for several years. Using the cintiq takes me back to my days in my Animation courses. Good times.

I have a XPEN22E , the size is great but the surface was hard to get used to because it feels slippery,
it´s very far from the feeling of pen on paper and I wonder how that is on the Cintiq

It's hard to call it "the feeling of pen on paper", but it's not slippery. You can also get different nibs for the pen (at least they give you a few with Intuos pro, but I bet you can buy them separately) to have different experience. If you have a Wacom center somewhere not far from you, you can try it out there! It's really comfy as far as drawing on a monitor can be, imo.

Thank you for the information. Yeah, I will ask my local illustrator friends to try out their Cintiqs.
They all have Cintiqs. I think I need one too in the long run.

The price difference is also not so insane anymore

I never tried any other monitor tablets honestly, while it was at least possible to actually try out Wacom x) I compared a lot of reviews, but at the time there wasn't a lot of different options here.
I wish I also had something more portable though, so I can just put it on my lap or randomly take on vacation... Well, maybe sometimes later.

I thought about buying an Ipad pro since a long time, there is a german site which sells them second
hand and that´s where I also buy a mobile phone when I need one. I bought my mobile there for 20% of the
original price. This will not work with Cintiqs because people keep it forever but they always have Ipads
which they sell for halve the original price when they are only one year old
