Thank you! It was actually really hard to figure out his hands when I drew his 12 y.o. version, but hopefully older him will be easier to deal with x)

WIP for one of the „bigger“ things I‘ve decided to work on this year, since I feel like my artstyle changed so much over the past 2 years and this one fits the current arc better xP

It‘s about time for this anyways lmao

Thank you so much!!
It‘s a lot simpler than the old one imo, but I‘m glad I‘m getting the right vibe across with this one :3

You hit the nail on the head of everything the new Velma show utterly ruined. You have diversity while keeping the spirit of the characters, you have numerous body types, and modern style. Daphne looks like a woman proud and confident in her sexuality without it becoming objectifying, which is hard to do for a lot of folks.

I'm not trying to preach but I'm a pretty hardcore egalitarian and I appreciate diversity and empowerment done right. I was genuinely upset by how backwards and garishly discriminatory Velma is for literally every group of person possible. So this was... very nice.

very nice indeed.

Great styling for the outfit! Maybe the pants can have a neat seam/dart on them or an asymmetrical pattern. Can't beat a queen if she got a good pair of powerful boss pants. :smug_01:

God, they look great in ur style! Love how scooby has a vest on  das cute.
also, why is Fred is heckin adorable. Kind of like a "goofy but very cool guy" vibe with him in that jacket and headband. :sparkling_heart:

^^^Seconded! lol :sip:
I ended up not watching the show, because I heard through the grapevine that the creator is a terf. So I was like... "umm I'm gonna sit this one out."
Very unfortunate they allowed someone to make a revival of ScoobyDoo with such tactlessness with force-fed modern stereotypes on the characters. Like, zoinks, dude. lol

She is, and pretty much everything else. I'd argue both a misogynist and misandrist at the same time, racist toward pretty much every group (heavily playing with really awful racial stereotypes), homophobic elements as well despite supposedly supporting LGBTQ+. All while pretending to be progressive. If anything, the extreme awfulness of the main character paints a stereotype of a progressive as so extreme and unlikable that it's really just a strawman.

I try to keep my political beliefs to myself but I think any decent human can agree that none of those behaviors are okay.

Edit: Oh, and the show outright mocks school shootings.

Oh thanks :blusht:. I'm glad you like the vest! I thought that it would be a fun idea if Scoob had different outfits cuz Shaggy and Daphne would buy them for him. Like everyone's outfits would be the same episode to episode except Scooby's.
