I've hit my peak minimalism period it seems. I just keep trying to draw characters with fewest details. I drew some silly fan comics last year for my football team that were pretty popular with the other fans, so I tried applying it to my characters.

I dunno how I feel about the results. It doesn't quite feel like me. I think at some point in time you hit diminishing returns on low detail, because you may have fewer lines, but then each line becomes more important...

I also randomly got an e-mail asking for more material for a pitch I sent out at the beginning of the year and kind of assumed was a rejection. So, uh...

I think it´s one of the greatest excercises you can do but like you said, the pressure is high,
because every line gets important. This reminds me that I should practice that more

I will not use the sketch I uploaded yesterday. I dislike everything about it except the text for
the panel
I need a simple hair cut because I will draw her again and again in the comic.

And the daily Loomis practice, friday is side view to the left, I´m doing
this since 10 days

Still working on my mc. Almost done with the character design

I don't share 'after' versions of my sketches very often so here are two of the latest ones. I have an 'extras' series for West so I'll sling these in there with other sketches I can scare up.

Damn flu, why did it made me so tired.

I guess I will make a rule for sketches. Putting a timer on. If in like 10 minutes I figure out nothing is coming out of it, leave it for later :sleepy:

@Kelheor oh no damn flu indeed, wishing you a speedy recovery :muscle:
Having the flu inspired the comic, was like what if you get powers instead of headache and fever symptoms lol
That 10 mins drawing still looks epic, love the fierce eye and grin!

Likewise have always admired your sketches so that's an honor to hear you say   Been leaning into the 3d lately, but always feels refreshing jumping back into 2d, in this case the Tapas Magma event.

@Lensing that lady look scary, an interviewee's worst nightmare XD Julia is one of the brave ones lol And the figure study of the sides looking awesome too. Also congrats and wishing you success with the single! :guitar: :musical_note:

@l_vi
The sketch looks lively, the pressured expression of the character and the Honk going through the head. Keep it up  hope you get all the needed rest time and look forward to seeing more when you decide to post. Kinda same with me, been dabbling on the 3d side lately hardly been sketching as often. :art:

So, a question, is anyone doing something in october?
Because I found this.

I am very sure that if I try, I will do, like, one or two days before fall in the floor in distress, but I want to try.
Don't let me fail alone!

I forgot to say this yesterday but, holy moly, this is incredible!

I think I probably found a style for this project (finally). IDK why but I just felt like something really simple. Engram's style is pretty simple too, but I wanted something different. Maybe it's just obsession with something that doesn't remind me of pain, like my regular style (which is also... not like Engram, lol). My "ideal" style I think is like 1-1.5 hours for a whole page... Something I can do regardless of how flared up my neck is.

Daughter wants a story of the Donkeysaurus Rex and how it destroys the state of Florida...

I Obey.

I made a character sheet for the vicious receptionist.
I will probably change the clothes and the body but I´m happy
with the head now and that she doesn´t have a neck.

I´m not sure about a name for her yet, I was thinking about Bertha

you are right, this is actually Regina with a different hairstyle.
I wasn´t sure about the name and the hair anymore.

I just asked her and this is what she answered:
