Bwahaha I'm so sorry for laughing but the Tom Holland thing got me . Well, without text and context you've got practically the whole deck still up your sleeve - I'm just intrigued.

Besides, what happens in sketch thread stays in sketch thread, right?

@nathanKmcwilliams Loved “I’m going to get weird with these designs.” Let’s get weird! That sounds like a fun story idea and your passion for that song got me to check out some death metal (which is rare for me, but I love me some passion).

@migxmeg ha! Yeah, I was mostly laughing too. Their are worse ways to spill some beans. Lessened learned. Always happy for the safety I feel in this thread.

@igneriss aaaaa those are so cute! Reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki's storyboards for (cancelled) Pippi Longstocking that he did himself.

I did more work on unnamed(?) girl.

:loudspeaker: Important question! Bottom right, there's a version where the eye is fully outlined. I can't decide whether I want that or not.

@igneriss oooooh those bright colors convince me it's not cold somewhere <3.

@Mallory gut reaction no outline for me. Those braids are adorable.

Don't know if I'll do anything with it, but sometimes it's fun to brainstorm new ideas. (Though uh...Iron Savior is Power Metal not Death Metal. There's a definite distinction between the genres. Power Metal focuses on anthemic choruses, big solos, and has clean singing vocals. While Death Metal is an entirely different beast with tons of subgenres under it, though they all feature vocals with growls and screams)

No, but if I'm coming up with one on the spot... I'd go with... uh... Joshua. Yes. His name is Joshua and he devours souls.

Josh, devourer of souls, with the very manry chest!

@migxmeg yeah my "usual" default is to leave some eye "open" so that's more natural to me, but I was wondering if maybe I wanted something else? So far my gut reaction agrees with you.

I opened this file to "touch a couple things up". Then I accidentally finished it lol. (Today I learned you can clip layers to folders and aaa where has this been all my life?!)

The lumps on his back leg is my last-minute decision to actually draw his super high-tech leg brace that's keeping his knee together. I am very jelly because I too wish I had a very high-tech brace to keep my booboo together.

Did you know you can also clip folders to layers? You can do some real crazy crap (more neatly than a giant stack of clipped layers) with that :hohoho:. Looks so good!!!

I did not! I honestly resorted to just doing all of my flats on one layer, and then just today I was like "but what if clip to folder?" then my mind was blown.

OK, so
I don't know how much the forum will stay, so I created a Discord server who will work as a double for this thread. Anyone who wants to join it just in case they will close the forum or just wants to hang out elsewhere, please send me a message (or just ping me here) and I will send you a link

@Mallory daaaang! That level of detail in the football helmet is excellent! You make it look both easy and whimsical (and those things are tough to pull off!). Awesome job!
