@nathanKmcwilliams guess it'd be dragon its toes ;D. DX Sorry. Looks beautiful, nice inks on Usagi, too!

@Mallory the sleeeeeeves awww they are too cute <3. And congrats on the quick page! Reading Engram always boggles my mind with how much detail you pack into it - looks fantastic but I can only imagine the work volume. And ya hi to the beefy men XD.

@LCT_m_a_d thank you! Love those strong colors and the folds around the neck area are beautiful.

@Kelheor the HxH anime was one of our favorites (should be up for a rewatch after One Piece) but I was hoping maybe there was even a little bit more extra story in the manga... Thank you and yep Proko seems to be a commonly recommended course from what I could find. That rotation looks splendid - I'll confess I love creeping on your construction lines to try to figure out a bit how you're doing it O_O.

@AfroAtelier oooo, Jasmine one of my favorite princesses <3 love your take - nice volumes through her hair and earrings and sweet gesture, especially on the 2nd one!

@Legendofgenii thanks and isn't it weird? I keep poking my arm and staring at it... glad I'm at home. Foot is next but assignment 5 is the one I'm looking forward to the most lol :).

@stiatent thanks and will do! Dawww the collab came out so sweet with the pupper! <3 The finished board looks really nice - I wonder if they will let us paste stuff into there going forward? Hmmmm.

Started doodling on December artboard, Taking a shot with Evan again -
anyone up for a for a mini collab?

Left left his arm open for a hug from anyone's oc, feel free to draw your oc in and hug him or any friendly reaction you come up with, I'll adjust the left arm to compliment whatever you decide to draw :art:

@migxmeg those assignments look awesome yep Assignment 5 looks fun
you're right, finished board came out awesome, galed ppl filled it up,
yep pupper is sweet indeed, with tail wagging and ready to play with little Noel :doggo:
Excited to see what surprises lay ahead in the December artboard, interesting didn't know we can paste in there too, mayb as the Nov. artboard wasn't filled up they prolly allowed it? Wished they had a text tool too

@MerrowBros those snooty characters, sorry they judged u while u drew them lol
they're judging us onlookers on the forum now so u're no longer alone XD
awesome poses, keep up the awesome work! :art:

Meanwhile I am more interested in how you do the studies, hahaha ^^
Mine are pretty easy, mostly I chalk out the shoulders, elbows and knees when going down the figure, the line between the elbow and waist is just for identifying the movement of the elbow relatively to the waist, but it's not really doing anything for the construction xD

@wispysing Yhep  on the December Magma board. Yep draw to your heart's content i can always readjust his arm, and shrink him to suit yours XD excited to see what uou come up with :art:

@Kelheor love the dynamic sketches and the shirt drape lines look awesome  always exciting seeing other artists' process to drawing. I'm sort of similar, with head and torso n then the limbs. And true @migxmeg your studies has us facinated, keep it up

@MerrowBros I feel so unworthy . Would love a dress in that color though :3.

@Kelheor thank you for the breakdown! :astonished: pretty easy? It looks fantastic at every stage, will 100% be trying that on the next figure I need to draw. Studies... I have a time lapse of every sketch I make, rip storage (I'll throw it on discord since no mp4s here) - sadly I've trained myself on the kind of bad habit of just looking at the ref photo that's on my monitor and starting from one spot and using the magic of lasso tool adjustments DX.

Frowback Friday!

This drawing dates back to 2015, when I was still in the process of designing the characters for my comic. My readers might be surprised to see that Maeve's design was finalized way before Jim and Melody (in fact, Maeve and Darrel's designs date all the way back to 2011). This was also before I knew that Mandy Patinkin has a beard now : P

And a new drawing for today, as well, also (to not be lazy):

@migxmeg beautiful bones as always. I like the color of the background - it makes all of your shades and highlights look really gentle.

@IndigoShirtProd Those are some really nice bodies under those outfits. O.O

@nathanKmcwilliams Ooh I just love the spacing of black inks, textures and white paper on Rip. It really pops in this sketch here. I don't know if this means anything, I don't think it does. I think I'm trying to say that I like the way it looks, but words are hard at the moment.

Did a proper turnaround for Leonie since someone sat down and wrote down the first three chapters of her story...

And super rough sketches of 3 of the supporting characters...
