I wonder if it's worth doing a short (2-4 second) animation after every chapter because this is fun and I haven't animated for myself in probably 10 years (maybe they'll just be in the sketchy blue pencil style if I'm backlogged (I love that GIFS are available in Tapas). The opening chapter is intense (and this is indicative of it), but it'd be nice to do some quiet, sweet scenes too.
Also, After I showed my kids this animation, they grabbed their physical copy of Monkey Bunny and started reading through it (which was adorable). But what really made it great was my youngest (6 years old), looked at how the the panels were so small, plentiful, and had WAY too many words on the page. He just put it down and proclaimed "How do I even read this?!" (in the most disgusted manner). Yup, that's why I'm doing a soft-reboot kid. Trying to do better.
