I have no idea what those are lol! If I ever shift to more art on paper, will have to try them too :).

@nathanKmcwilliams I think I'll end up using the soft brush for everything - I have a pretty light touch so it's nice to have a pen that puts ink down without much pressure.

@migxmeg I think I'll have to buy those too. All of my pens are old/dried out. I tried doing some watercolor stuff recently and found that out

I couldn't leave the sketch from yesterday alone and made it into a random comic page from a story that I am adamantly refusing to work on (obviously, unsuccessfully... I think I've hit a quarter-life crisis 'cause all I wanna do is write stories about high school and undergrad lol).

I now have a faster way of doing pages maybe?

Tombow also makes watercolor brush pens too. I have a black one, and I intend to get some other colors too. Particularly a red one for Rip's protofeathers.

Closing out the weekend with one more study from Omniscient Reader. Feels like taking a course in how to use action lines everywhere + really hope I can get into the mindset of using more dynamic shots :).

Definitely got more - I'm looking through the Webtoon Originals under Action that do well on that platform/with art I like best and reviewing the conventions/spacing/paneling. The point is focusing on size, spacing and composition of panels plus how to use action lines, dust and debris since I think those are some huge blind spots that I have. Much higher return on my time than continuing with anatomy right now!

If I was drawing a comic like yours I think it would be cool to look at Magi or MHA - traditional format that have things happening on the ground and in the air at the same time . Though I can't remember how the action scenes in Magi were since I read it before I was doing comic art XD it was a fun manga either way until it got weeeeeird.

You always do such cool dtiys! I like the interaction in your version <3.

Getting basic designs hammered out now - we're still debating whether having two axes or one enormous axe is cooler but we both agree this guy has to be bigger.

Dont see enough dual axe action imo. Maybe they can combine into one big axe. Best of both worlds.

2 axes doesn't seem to be a thing historically (because defense) but luckily there's youtube to find some gesture practice on just about anything.

Doing some fun stuff with the Q and As segment of the comic. The gals are going to be doing some glass blowing in a couple weeks.
