The Sketch a Day Thread!

This is a September 2021 sketch since I'm a big Iron Maiden fan. They released their new album back then and here's a tribute using my character, Lyza.

This is the english version of the first page, I don´t know if I translated it correctly.
I changed one of the characters because he looked to stiff and I also didn´t like his look.
I should have made character sheets before starting the comic.
I´m happier with the page now and will start the 2nd page now

Looking good! I think most of it is translated well, the only part that's maybe a bit jarring translated is the middle left speech bubble. I would probably put it like "I'm beginning to worry about you Decker." or "I'm starting to worry about you Decker."

Though I'm not a native english speaker so take my words with a grain of salt

I will write the whole comic in german first and have someone translate it to english
when it is finished

@migxmeg Thanks! Working this big (18 X24 ) is kinda of scary which I love. Most of my recent drawings take about 9-12 hours (8 x12) but I usually span my work over a week or so. I usually use a mechanical pencil but since this is larger and I'm doing this for an event next week, I have graphite sticks and charcoal to cover large areas of black.

@Kelheor I'm loving these contrasting hairs vs clothing! Looks super sharp

The sketch for page 2 is done,
I never came to page 2 with my old stories because I always lost the interest
after page 1. I think it´s because I have a goal with the contest I´m joining.
I don´t care about winning or losing but I like to have a goal.
I have to have the comic finished until august 15

And I had my first singing lessons today, it was good

@LCT_m_a_d thank you! Omg I just understood the sheet of paper in your photo is so huge! It seems easier and harder to work on such a big canvas, since you can put more details, but I would be really afraid to smudge the pencil

@rumpenstiltzkin it looks great! really really natural! Also love the dapple grey butt x) (can you tell it's dapple when it's just a part of the horse?... Hmmm, I wonder. Funny fact, we call dapple horses "horse in apples" here )
