I can relate to this so much.
My sketch layers are already complicated and I use 2 apps for one comic,
switching between them. Then I watch people finishing their pages on
youtube and they work super efficient with a minimum amount of layers
and they color on one layer

They are just crazy :werebork:
In all honesty, painting (even in digital) definitely helps with this problem. I barely painted before this year (didn't really feel good about my abilities), so doing artworks like this really makes me step away from the usual line art flatting shading combo I've been doing for ages now and strive for less layers. Also makes you relax a bit, even if it looks a bit messy, well, let's just assume it should look like this :smirk:

I can also relate to this a lot, not feeling good about your abilities but that´s some really weird psychological problem
for me. I developed a really strange perfectionism when it comes to drawings. I would be able to draw very dynamic,
interesting looking comics but the perfectionism makes it impossible. Making comics is definitely the hardest thing
I ever started and it was so easy when I was a kid. A lot of it has to do with psychology. Storytelling and making
comics is really intimate. When I draw or write something superficial then I´m not satisfied with the result.
Sorry for off topic
I don´t have that perfectionism when it comes to music, I just recorded 2 songs as a singer, it doesn´t sound
beautiful and most people would say it´s not even singing and I´m not sure about the grammar or the
pronounciation but I don´t have doubts about it and like it. It´s strange

@Lensing
We are a lot alike in that
Except I don't really have anything that I am not trying to break my back over. It's all or nothing and it's not a great way of doing things.
Although that's why I do a lot of sketches. They take away the pressure, there's so many of them I will never finish them all anyway xD

Continuing yassification of Shedal from where I left him. Moar sparkles!

Really nice job on the highlights, and the subtle use of blue

Thanks so much! Trying to get used to this painting process  unfortunately I don't have the same revelation like I did when I started the picture, but I'm gonna cut myself some slack xD

That sounds like fun times.
Also nice directional pulling on the muscles

Thank you and oh yeah it was! Though given the physical shape I'm in it's going to take a few days to recover :cry_01:.
