@DanielRKM HAHAHA YES! omg I can't even pinpoint when I said "f this I don't need no pupils" those brows tho, look at them moving :smirk:

I still need to pick up anatomy, but I don't know where to start, to be honest. I should just... start with studies, maybe. Not much to show, since it's either comic stuff or something I won't show for some time xD

It’s a decision that works so dang well!

Lunch break inks! ‘Cause taking a break from work to do more work is… healthy… right?

@KennethLopezJr921 pretty sure you’re not gonna peak at 21. There is great power within you! :sunglasses:

Ms Paint 98 Trippy Surreal Deluxe (TM)
Also you might notice Lady Lock looks a lot different here, and this is her at 16, when she first became a KNIGHT but I haven’t gotten to this point in the comic yet so it seems really random <3 But it looks cool ^_^

Oh forgot to mention Knight Geoffrey (the other guy in the drawing) is an actual giant lol he’s not just a tall human. Lady Lock is actually not that short compared to other characters.

What a delightful thread. I wish I could claim that I finished this one today, it's from a little while back, but this scene still brings me joy when ever I look at it.

When you’re sixteen and an orphan, any adult you’ve remotely bonded with is susceptible to becoming your new parent

My slash & girl avatar in my style,it's hard finding time to draw during exams

@Calculus_Homework Thank you so much. I'm honestly a little surprised! Your sketches always show such a good understanding of perspective and motion that I feel like your style would translate easily into animation.

Definitely not a sketch anymore by this point, but here's the finished product!

Learning anatomy is the box of pandora  :sob:

You can start with:
bones:
spine, ribcage, pelvis, radius, ulna
mucles:
pecs, abs, trapezius, glutes, biceps, deltoids

Attachement of the legs and arms to the torso
and then learn the legs and arms as shapes instead
of the muscle names, like in the attached picture.

And then draw your characters naked and use bodybuilder
references to draw it. That´s the best way to learn imo because
then you have a motivationl to understand it instead of just forcing
yourself to learn muscle names

I can’t think of a comment for this one other than “meet my imaginary roommate who’s kinda evil and consistently makes things harder for me but I let them stick around because we both have the same problems”

I drew haikyuu kenma in commemoration of its latest movie release! (dialogues are from ch 323)
I really like this manga a lot!

Finally reached the process of being able to apply shading on these panels.
Been looking forward to reach chapter 6.4 for this very moment

WIP! Not sure if it’s cannon, but Usagi Yojimbo now has misophonia (and I’m totlly projecting here- I just can’t stand the sound of eating). 🥣:hear_no_evil:

I made a comic about misophonia some years ago and it´s hanging on the
wall behind me

Today's sketches are also doubling as outlining for the next act of Dragon Sparking. I get to start working on it pretty quickly here, I only have one panel left on Bunneh and the first 32 page issue will be done...which means I can finally get some new DS out there later this year.
I do my best writing when it's nice and chaotic and all over the place, so "sketching" my beats is where I operate best.

Being a parent is kicking my ass here - I keep wondering if everyone else with kid(s) has some secret I don't know or if everyone is riding the struggle bus quietly lol.

Finally dusted (literally and it was thick :frowning:) off my desk and tablet for some sketching - think I got what I'm going to get out of this one and try to go make progress on a panel.

Miss you guys, always a great joy to peek at the thread from time to time :heart_03:.

@Lensing I can think of no fresher hell worse than being a waiter with misophonia :joy:

@migxmeg no wait, I can think of one fresher hell- early parenthood! It’s SO stink’n great to see you (and my god, at least your work has no dust on it). You’re not alone and kids are still kicking our butts over here too. My youngest (8 years old now (holy)) has taken to sleep walking every night (and multiple times a night) which just KILLED the sleep schedule my wife and I earned back from all those sleepless nights of babyhood. On the plus side, we did find a weird hack where if I tell him “oh hey, I found your bed” he will get sleep-excited and then sleep walk back the “newfound” bed and crash for a few hours. Kids never stop being weird and wonderful.

As long as it gets better before it gets worse :joy: I started tracking my sleep last week and I already sort of regret it. Glad you found a hack... Sleepwalking sounds terrifying! I know 8 years old is going to come in such a blink.

Loving the fan arts and the expressions :coffee_love: they look so good with that extra push!

There's an art challenge of drawing hand in hard angle on twitter and i decided to give it a try!

I´m doing a bunch of 10 minutes quick sketches today.
I was quite busy in the last days, joined a new band
which is something like an Elvis tribute band

No secret. You just take whatever tiny time you can to do your creative stuff.
But have mercy on yourself, you will get time in...be healthy about your creative time, it will be there later.
Take it from me, someone who nearly killed all of his creative spark, because he didn't take the necessary time to recharge when he should have.

The resident 'superman' standin for the Dragon Sparking universe. The Ultra. He's a jerk, don't trust him.

Bro's activatin' his ultimate super power: The U L T R A T - P O S E in the top drawing.

He really wants the cameras to get shots of his toned armpits. He's weird like that.

Bro's been working hard at the gym. I don't blame him.

The down side of putting clothes on your characters is that you lose the fun anatomy :pensive:

Why draw your characters in their original comic when you can spend your time making AU art?

okay I'm going to make pages now.

My freehand sketch on the left, reference, reference + tracing on top.
It took me one hour to do this, I will do the facial features and hair in the
afternoon
