Better notification system, for sure! Tapas wants us to use our wall for non-comic posts but c'mon... no one reads those things. This might be in part because wall notifications are lumped in with comic feedback, and because wall comments can't be replied to individually, so everyone gets notified of every comment. Users should also be able to opt in or out of comment threads or post types.

A block/report user function! Fortunately I haven't needed to use this yet. But it seems like a pretty basic function for a website of Tapas' size.

Trending/Popular Comics by Genre- I'd like if the front page could feature popular/trending comics from each genre, rather than having them all lumped together. It would help bring more diversity to the front page. As it is now, the front page is usually dominated by romance and slice-of-life comics. Webtoons sort of does this with its front page "Genre" bar.

I also love @GoldenPlume's idea of suggested comics based on what's in your library! This would help retain readership on the site as users wouldn't have to spend as much time digging to find the content they want.

1. Tipping on desktop. This REALLY needs to be done! T^T

2. Recent Activity page showed the content of posts then just listing out the titles. I feel like people ignore my wall posts. (and yes I click the bell) This way people can see the art or announcements and be more inclined to comment on them. I would also like to see the Activity page on the phone app.

1- fix the damn notification menu because slogging through subscribed feeds and comments is annoying. Not to mention it makes you not update subscriber posts yourself because you don't want to clog readers feeds.

3- please have some other option for music besides soundcloud, like bandcamp maybe or directly from your computer.

1. We are in desperate need of a blocking system. I think it would be best for everyone especially the creators. It takes too long to email staff and honestly, I know for a fact someone close to be does not like me and made a fake account just so they could read it and spam and criticize me. Situations like that, I feel like it's something staff wouldn't understand and that's why I feel like creators should have the power to block unwanted readers.

2. Tipping service for computer users. As a creator, I feel like I'm missing out on tips because most of my readers don't have the Tapas App. It would benefit us all. It could be very similar to Twitch's bit system.

3. Easier way for small comics to get discovered. There should be a section for smaller and newer comics to get noticed.

Other than that, Tapas has been a great experience.

1- Make all comments history visible, i.e. when I got to check the recent activity on the desktop version I can't see all comments made while on the app as well.

2- Adding a recent activity tab to the app.

3- Adding the tipping/coins purchase option to the desktop version.

I think I know what you mean, since I do it a lot with my pages on smackjeeves. Basically a post/upload queue that is a lot faster than what tap has right now(add image, describe, assign date and time, queue). That would be a heck of a time saver! When it comes to buffers, anyway.

The ability to choose at least 3 genres, and/ or just have more to choose from in general. It's common for stories to be rather complex and fall into sub-categories rather than hard lining just one. It'd help authors advertise their comics better and help readers search better. My current story is a mix of fantasy and slice of life but I can only choose just one, and a future story will be Hard-Political Fantasy ... there's no way I can properly categorize that one with the existing selection.

I'd also like to see more stuff on the creative process and character development. I saw that Tapas has a cute little series on how to do the best panels and so on.

And a weekly review section could be cool.

I agree with most things people are posting about here!

I think my top three though I would agree with the most are:

1. A better way to get new comics in front of people. The Fresh section is nice, but as others have pointed out your comic quickly falls down the list and within a couple hours it's already gone. Other than that section, unless your lucky enough to end up on the Trending or Staff Picks list, there's no other real way to hopefully build an audience on here short of basically asking for followers on the forum or hoping another artist shares your comic on their wall.

2. I agree completely with an above post about being able to change the order of episodes. After I began posting on here I wanted to add a chapter cover at the beginning of my comic, but you can't do that. So when the time comes for chapter 2, it'll have a cover as will the proceeding chapters, but the first won't.

3. I also agree with being able to like a post on someone's wall. I get maybe they didn't add that because then it's basically becoming Facebook. But as another poster pointed out, when you read a post sometimes you don't have anything to say about it but want to like it just to let them know you support what they're taking the time to write.

Three things I'd like are:

1: More ways for visibility to happen. There's a lot of ways this can happen. Maybe one way would there be a different themed list every week or so?
2: Being able to access forums on the Tapas app. That would make it so much more convenient
3: A Psychological genre and ability to pick two genres.

I agree about better visibility. The novel section is dominated by just premium stories, so new stories barely get any attention. Not only that, these writers are bringing their readers from other websites, and I doubt those readers are looking for new stories on Tapas to read.

1) A greater range of genres. This can help people find a specific kind of comic they're looking for. It can also be quite hard for creators to pick a genre from the list but the comic doesn't quite fit any of them so they pick the closest. Particular genres I'd like to see are psychological, supernatural, adventure, gag a day, thriller, and there's probably more.

2) Chapter/episode folders. Especially on desktop, the scrollbar gets really small and get really hard to use after 80 episodes and scrolling becomes too much. When you're not logged in, it's quite difficult to get back to where you left off.

3) Better tag system. I was hoping that the tag system would work like tumblr or twitter.

1) Tips for everyone! (Like the points in DA lol. I have some and I don't know what to do with them).
2) Be able to put pictures in novels (Some people just like to give extra info).
3) A better search system. By genre (more genres), by author, by name, by rating, by age, by type (fanfiction or original).

oooh, I have opinions on this!

1. Something that really bothers me lately is how much Tapas is trying to be like Line Webtoons... !!!! Tapas is really featuring the comics that they monetize/force you to download the Tapas app, so it's kind of overshadowing the smaller comics that don't have a deal with Tapas.

2. Desktop tipping! Personally, I don't use the Tapas app, and I'm sure so many other people prefer their computers as well. I heard it's coming soon, but... how soon?

3. I think there should be a better way to find comics. Right now, we can only find things through searching by name / genre / trending / fresh, etc.

Basically, support creators, especially ones of smaller comics, more!!

I would have to disagree with the preference on desktop vs mobile, because the way the future is going is not going back toward desktop but forward onto mobile. The vast numbers of creators here on the forum are using desktop because they need the desktop computer to create, and this forum isnt accessible from the app, so this forum does not represent the real numbers of tapas mobile users.
It's easier for readers to access content from mobile app than being constrained to laptop/desktop computers.

Anyhoo, I agree with alot of other opinions here.
1. More discoverability for smaller series.
Maybe some kind of curated contents?
2. Simple social functions within the app, as others mentioned.
Maybe forums access from app so the forum isn't too one sided heavy on creators/desktop users. I'd like to hear app users chime in on the forum as well, although I feel like that might change the nice environment that tapas has, as more people flood the forum
3. Multi genre. Up to 3.
