Some of the parts of this couch came with the wrong instructions, holes were on the small side on half the couch forcing my sister to use brute force when helping assemble it, and some of the anchors were too short for practical assembling, one was too long. One of the key tools provided was too large for the screws it was supposed to fasten... :joy:

Weird. I've only purchased one thing from IKEA ever, but it was super easy to build.

You what sucked? I didn't know you had to walk for over a fucking hour just to find and get what you wanted.

I went on an ikea trip with my girlfriend earlier this year and we still talk to eachother so... I guess that counts as a good Ikea experience?

Back on the subject of hair.... I need a new method to deal with curls. I used to just a method of using a specific type of Dove conditioner. I found that shampooing destroys my hair, so I'd do it just once a month to "reset" it. Then just using this conditioner which I think is absent of some chemicals that destroys curly and frizzy hair, it worked wonders keeping it smooth. I had a chemical straightening a while ago (don't want to deal with styling this shit) though and since it grew out it's been ratty. No matter how much I try to condition it, leave a little in, try some coconut oil etc. It's frizzing and getting knots. : -(

What do I do. It actually took me like 20 years to find out how to take care of my hair in the first place because no one in my family had curls. If I had the money I'd just get it straightened again, the girls did a treatment for it at the time that worked wonders. But I saw a terrible hairdresser afterwards that insisted on another treatment that left it feeling rough which is what I think started this whole mess. What is everyone else's curly hair strategy? I'm going to be working on construction sites next year so I need to find a way to tame it asap.

Rebounding you hair can make it fall out a little! My older sisters did it this year! AND THERES HAIR EVERYWHERE IN THE ROOM!!

It had that effect, but honestly I'd take straight hair over 5 hours of styling just for it to look nice for one outing. :\

Dang! Also whats annoying is it becomes hecka flat but poofs a bit after 3-a week or so

Looking for jobs that give me a ton of time on my hands at night, but I can live off of. Uber, Lyft, DoorDashers, etc. Any advice?

I dunno if it would work for you, depends on what you have in your area and whatnot. I do workstudy at my college book store in the art supply section (mostly) it’s pretty low energy, I get to talk about art supplies with people, and it leaves me plenty of time to do everything else I gotta do.

Everyone is always complaining about how awful retail is but at a smaller store like the place I’m working at it’s really chil

I'm out of college and I moved to Texas. Which helps because its cheap but my college bills are Vermont bills.

What did you go to college for? You could maybe tutor, that atleast gives you flexible hours. Or try to become a substitute teacher in your area(not sure what the rules are in Texas, some states you don't need certification, just a college diploma). I used to sub and it's nice because unless you take on a long term job, you just go to work, do your thing, and when you leave it's done. And if you hated the kids or the lesson plan you got, you can just never sub for that person again. I got to learn so much about different classes. I subbed for all grades and all major subjects-math,sci,eng,history,foreign language, art,PE, but also some really different classes too like Piano lab, welding, robotics, and autoshop. It was certainly an interesting between jobs job.

Makes sense, my job being workstudy is kinda inconsequential, but like, some sort of small retail store would probably be nice maybe? I dunno

Oh noooo! Naturally dark brown/black hair??? When I tried to go white from dyed black I ended up with a clear orangey yellow mess but then again that was dyed sooo

Yesss, dark brown. Two bleaching sessions, which I thought would be enough! Clearly I don’t know a damn thing about hair XD

Three bleaching sessions is what it takes for my hair and mine is red/reddish medium brown haha

I do 2 rounds with the strongest stuff available in my location and 1 round with something more gentle (or rather something that lightens fewer levels)

My hair has unusually strong quality so i don't recommend that whole ordeal to anyone. Best option if you want white hair is to do as follows:

  1. Have a lot of money. (Already lost 90% of the "i want white hair" crowd here)
  2. Take this weird phenomenon called "a lot of money" to a hairdresser.
  3. Ask the hairdresser if they can help you get white hair. Ask them how they would go about it. If they blurt out "bleach it until it goes white", then take your money and run away. Try the same with another hairdresser and hope for better luck.
  4. Congrats you have white healthy hair. Now prepare for heeeeella maintenance! XD

roflolol! That's why I've only done two sessions up to this point. I've spent about £120 so far, and have plans for another when I can get some more! According to science, money = white hair. There is no other reasonable explanation XD

Dang! I wish I could bleach my hair but i'm still too young and i'm scared to damage my hair hwah!!
