Figuring out what your idea of happiness and growth as a creator (not in terms of producing a piece) is another important and underrated aspect of making art, that I think I should've prioritized.

true I use to draw but I had to stop due to my muscle shaking problem. art should be free and expressive

I think that also could apply to other disciplines as well such as writing.

This morning I spent like 30 minutes reflecting everything I knew about what a truly content programmer in my current specific situation looks like and how I can prepare myself and my choices to get there. I actually do this almost daily.

It's something I never really did with my art-side. I started doing it a little bit.

The Agent solution can work or not and only to a degree. My wife had a literary agent for years. Other than assigning specific writing and reading exercises, he never actually did anything. Even if he had, ultimately is up to the creator to do most of the work like travelling to book signings, composing blurbs, and talking ones introverted self into actually speaking with people.

As a former podcast host myself, I would had loved it if some comic artist or writer or ANY level (fan fics, dirty limericks, anything) had reached out to me to ask about appearing on my show. I put out a call. Nobody came. There must be more show creators out there who are hard up for material.

Sounds like you were in the same boat as us.
We were literary agents too, for a while, but we found it really hard to get any kind of clientele because, wow surprise, everyone was trying to be a literary agent. I'll bet HALF the "agents" who were around in the 1990s did 1/10the the work or had 1/10 the experience Paola and I did...and it was still a hassle - like waving your arm up high in a sea of crowds trying to get the lead singer on stage to notice you.

Hmmmm. I sense we could partner up. We can give you quite a lot of authors and artists to interview. We're in the finishing stages of finally getting our author-assisted publishing house up and going, and we'll have a lot of clients seeking attention.

Counting down the days til my Switch arrives & I can start playing Animal Crossing...

$300 bucks U.S. dollars...of course I spent more coz I bought the ACNH game(as opposed to downloading it digitally), bought a case for my Switch(console only- not the bay), got a 10 ft USB-C cable just in case I want to play it on the go I can charge it.

There's also the Switch lite- which is $200. It's more like an actual handheld console- comes in aqua, yellow, grey, coral, and purple. I started to get one of those, but changed my mind coz I wanted to hook up the Switch bay to my TV and play on a larger screen.

Right now the Switch is hard to get- coz of the pandemic; everyone has bought it up while being at home. There are 3rd party sellers, but they are jacking the prices up an extra $100-150.

You can still get the Switch lite; the only colors that are hard to get is coral, aqua, and purple...there are plenty of yellow & gray still out there.

To be fair, wasn't there a thread a while back looking to see how many staff members Tapas had, and like @ratique or someone commented on the page saying that Tapas had over 100 employees? XD and was like "I WOULD LIKE TO MEET THEMMMM" Hahahaha. Something outrageous like that.
In my mind, Tapas is run by 6 capable people

Same thing we ran through years ago...
Considering Tapas's public record Financials, if they're understaffed that's an upper management problem not a creator/reader problem. I can have sympathy for those being overworked and STILL criticize what's being done as a company.
