This will be my 4th time tabling at MomoCon- I tabled there in 2016, 2017, and 2019. I really LOVE the atmosphere and the crowds there(it's an anime con, but they have lots of love for indie creators)...some creators hate 4-day cons; this one I love coz it nicely occupies my Memorial Day weekend.
I've never done Awesome Con or Multiverse Con- this will be my first time for both, if I'm approved. I'd say the only thing I hate about being at functions out of town is I never really "settle in" until it's the last day; I lucked out last year with the show in Montgomery coz I had been driving for 4 hours, it was HOT af, and the A/C in the room plus food provided a nice catalyst for sleep...usually I find it hard to sleep the first night coz it's NOT MY BED at home.
Multiverse Con is a local show as well...I'm thinking if I'm not accepted to Awesome Con and the window is still open for Dragon Con, I might take a look at it. I know a couple yrs back tables for Dragon Con were $400; if I'm going to kick out $350 for Awesome Con, then I could scrounge up another $50 for Dragon Con(just checked- artist tables are still $400...I think application deadlines are in June).
