Still alive...havent been doing any art lately coz trying to take care of the house/paperwork- got an inspector out to the property, getting it appraised, and SIGNING TONS OF PAPERWORK; barring any other financial hurdles, we should have everything done and moving in by the end of the month.

Only part that sucks is that new place isnt equipped to deal with powerful internets that old place had- so I'm having to downgrade

Unproductive but restless with the world events & life, can't seem to sit down quietly and write a page of afterwords.

Welp it's FINALLY all over- we'll be closing on the place on Monday and moving in on Tuesday...I'm relieved that it is over, and look forward to fixing up my place the way I want!

Getting a new desk coz my old desk went to pieces in the process of moving; as soon as I get that, then I can get back to doing my art!

Got in my new desk a couple of days ago and put it together- it's one of those powered rising desks; so now I dont have to worry about my back and bending over...I can also stand and use it.

Believe me , I get it...seems like everyday something(or some things) horrible is/are being done and makes you wonder if there is any good left in this world.

Hooked up my 32" monitor and the HDMI splitter- almost there...

I just gotta get some rubber grips for the stand so that it doesnt slide all over the place(NOT PICTURED- I also hooked up my laptop cooling pad).

Been trying to get in a considerable amount of OT at my RL job since the move- was sleeping good after working 12 HOURS yesterday(and watching anime & Star Trek last night) until my brother called this morning...ugh.

I guess since I'm up I might as well finish putting the last of my stuff on my desk- the USB hub, the CD/DVD player, and the external hard drives...then make a trip to the laundromat(washer is down; in the process of ordering a new one).

Got the desk station set up(mostly); got an LED glowy mouse pad & a clamp power outlet for the desk since I had a few items that the cords will not reach the super power strip(like my cup warmer)...I even hung up the LED hexagon lights and the art palette light- though I do need to reposition the latter. Currently waiting on the floor desk pad, coz we have carpet and it's making my chair hell to move.

Decided to hang the longer shelves on the concrete wall, so I'm investing in a hammer drill, which will allow me to drill into the concrete...going to hang the smaller shelves(for my plants project) behind me on the regular wall.

Finally got a washer, so now I don't have to run to the laundromat to do laundry; also applied some fixes to an armoire so that I can put some clothes inside- this allowed me to clear out a number of boxes in my bedroom. I have about 4 boxes left(but unfortunately MORE in my storage); I have a bathroom medicine wall cabinet coming in Monday that I have to [put together and] hang which will allow me to empty one of the 4 boxes left- once I put up the small shelves that will allow me to possibly empty another of the 4 left.

Had to purchase a lawn mower and take care of the front yard(the grass was SUPER high and thick); now purchased an edge trimmer to line up all the edges and areas the mower couldn't get to make the yard look nicer...planning on tackling the backyard, but I have to go get a MUCH NEEDED haircut today. Planning to get the last of the necessary yard tools- the blower, in about a week or 2.

All of this- PLUS putting in work at my day job AND started on an 80s variant of a [X-Men] Rogue piece I did earlier this year...

Finally sat down and snapped pics of the art workstation progress...I'm now debating putting a mat(or large mouse/gaming pad) under the tablet- and if I do, then I have to decide whether to do a plain blue or use a LARGER LED pad(kinda been going with the lighted blue aesthetic).

Ordered the hammer drill and adding some LED light rods to the long shelves; going to move the art palette light to the lower right near the corner...this- and putting up the smaller [plant] shelves will go down next weekend. At that point I should be done with the art station project altogether...the last things on the list are to get a newer, more sturdy keyboard & a new desk chair(the chair won't happen until next year).

been slowly crawling my way back to social media recently. hadnt really stopped cold turkey but been mostly just browsing and retweeting/reblogging things than making posts. i do want to get back to posting again on my main accounts but i'm also considering just going to a side blog i'd prepped on tumblr to just yap guilt free about ocs and fandom stuff ive been into especially since posting to main keeps tossing me into a lot of the same mental hurdles as before i just all out dipped and i havent figured out how to route them

there's also the fact that tumblr doesnt hinder my yapping with any stupid character limits but that's just good ol platform limitations

Super exhausted from working on a commission that I´ve been working on
since days. It´s a very detailed color flatting job with a lot of characters, animals,
buidlings ex and interior, with 100+ layers for each illustration and a couple of pages.
Today I´m finishing ealy at 5pm. I have been flatting from morning - night the last days.
I only took some minutes off to eat/drink or sketch for my comic.

It's the [holiday] weekend here and I've been a little upset coz none of the things I had planned seem to be going how I wanted; though I did get a good bit of the back yard mowed, I couldn't get the right side of the house coz A) big rocks & bricks and B) huge ass web with huge ass spiders...also planned to dump off the lawn bags at the parks and rec recycling center, but I can't use the particular one that is near so I have to go to the county location which is further away.

Lastly, amazon fucked up and I didnt get my hammer drill & LED light rods order; it was supposed to have arrived on Tuesday and it didnt- then they said it was going to arrive on Friday and it didn't...I was planning to put the long shelves up but now that plan is gonna have to wait til next weekend- as how they now have my order "estimated" to arrive then.

So it's now [American] football season and I spent the weekend doing what I can & watching games on TV; gonna start unloading my movies from the moving boxes and put them away...been trying to get work done on art stuffs- I'm stuck on the 80s Rogue piece because I'm trying to figure out the hair(it doesn't look right from the pencils that I've laid down, so I'm trying to salvage it) so I've hopped back over to an OC piece that I started before the 80s variant.

I was hoping to get the shelves up so that I could unpack the boxes with my nendoroid/Funko figures and my plant pots(going to [eventually] attempt to care for some plants again), but it seems I'm gonna have to wait a little longer.

Just found out I need to do an exam I was not aware of, on Friday. The last I heard of some of the subjects was in middle school. RIP me I guess

Also, RIP all my hopes of releasing my comic by yesterday. The buffer is way too microscopic. But I’m working on it!

Besides that, I found a new favorite animal!

Back at the weekend and my only plans right now are to re-bag the cut grass into plastic trash bags so that I throw it in with the regular trash AND get the long shelves hung; the hammer drill arrived Tuesday but then I decided to use ALL of the 2 LED light rods(which are about 45 inches each) so I had to go to IKEA last night and get LONGER shelves(which are 44 inches- as opposed to my old ones which are 36 inches).

Just trying to figure out how to place the rods...do I A) place [one of] the light rods(blue) above the shelf(red) so that the figures will be lighted? OR do I B) place the lights below the shelves- only one of the shelves would get displayed in light, but there is a nice aesthetic balance to it? Hmmm...

UPDATE: Put one of the rods together and tested its lighting...

ohhhh~ the blue looks really nice! i think placement could go either way tho under neath feels like it'd give kinda dramatic but above get to show off whats on the shelves so i guess it's more on what feels best

Got the grass put into trash bags...I have one lawn bag left(it has big branches in it) but this has CLEARED up the strong "cut grass" smell in the garage; my nose is thanking me for it.

I got the shelves put up today...it was a struggle because the on first try the holes were off and it was [slightly] crooked; I had to re-do and finally got it right.

Also put up one of the 2 light rods; it looks beautiful as heck...trying to decide if to put the second rod over the top shelf OR under the bottom shelf.
