I have lots of things I can't explain to people

I tried to write about one of them here.

What are some things you just can't put into words?

mental disabilities, i met so many people who say i just need to stop having autism or depression or Anxiety disorders and if i didnt they didnt want anything to do with me

you cant just stop those things over night, heck a couple of them, your stuck with for life

The “smell” of things that give you nostalgia. Like I sniffed a bar of soap once and nearly had a breakdown because it gave me such intense memories of Taiwan when I was little.
I also like to sniff my drawer because it reminds me of summer.
Is this socially acceptable?

I know people, and I myself, have walked into bookstores and much larger libraries to smell books. I also love the smell of rain and the earthy smell aftewards (petrichor I think it's called) it's soothing. Then there's that warm smell of warm air on a spring afternoon, kind of like vanilla or fresh cut grass with like lemon or something. but yeah we smell stuff everyday and olfactory senses tend to trigger certain emotions or memories

all in all totally normal, so smell away~

I rarelly feel the smell of something. So, i don`t have trouble with some smellly things like bad breath or a sweatting person.

Well, spring smells earthy, summer smells warm, fall, earthy with dead leaves, winter, burning and damp... Or not at all cause you have a stuffy nose

Speaking of smells I guess: There's a before-smell, like when you barely get a whiff of something and it smells like something else. But then you get a better whiff of it and it's different. Similar to an after-taste but reversed and with your nose instead of your taste buds.

Feeeling the cold air in winter while you are walking down the street.
Or finger painting, I love to play with the colours and make a mess in a paper trying to figure out what I was trying to do.

Another one....for some reason there is not an equivalent of the word "Edgy" in spanish.

Actually i have trouble explaining terms that only exist in other languages to people that don`t speak that language.

@BobbyjoeXforgotensb You're not alone, I can smee´ll the change of the seasons too ^^ I love those days you come out and the scent of the next season is in the air, always makes me happy

@DiegoPalacios Tell me about it. It's a nightmare to describe "Hygge" to non-Danes. It's kinda like cozy, but then not at all. There has literally been written books about the term to properly explain it >.<

That zen feeling of just being in tune with whatever you make, being in "the zone"

similar to smell i get certain feelings or vibes that just remind me of a time or season, and it's not something like "oh winter feels tense and summer feels airy" it's just really specific and impossible to convey to another human being

It's pretty silly, but one thing that's impossible for me to explain is when silverware has a spot that my tongue is sensitive to. I'll have to get another fork or spoon or I won't be able to eat properly. I'm not sure if it's the taste or the feeling that sets me off.

This is totally true. For me it's especially prevalent in winter when your face and nose get all chilly and frozen and your can see you breath. It's not just the snow, but like the air itself that has a scent (if that makes sense? probably not)

it's a bit hard to describe but it's that kind of frosted scent (but it makes sense even if it's a kind of vague concept to describe)

Could never get my mom to understand that I knew when the tube TV's were on. Even if I was in the front lawn.

i get by its when the symptoms rear their ugly heads and now its "i dont want to hear excuses why your acting like that"
