Today is the one year anniversary of me winning the H.G. Wells Short Story Competition and also the day of my first ever job interview. I'm freaking out lol

@Leyelle Congratulations!! :tada: :tada: These are some serious achievements! And good luck for your job interview! 🤞:four_leaf_clover: Go get that job!

Congrats! 1k likes is a big achievement too!

I have one as well: I have published a comic online for the first time! It’s a one shot for the Global Comic Award contest and it already has 15 votes!

It’s difficult to explain without explaining the world building first, which I could go on forever about. At its core, it’s about a celebrity dealing with admirers and more difficult themes, and about one of the admirers having an inferiority complex related to her. But it has so many elements that are all important, like how could I forget the giant flies? Arrrgh I can’t even explain my own story lol
I think my synopsis does it better than just freestyle me:

In a world where mutant flies terrorize the people, everyone reveres the fly hunters, especially the legendary Artemis. Everyone… except Rain. When the two of them meet for one last time, it becomes apparent that even living legends have their dark sides…

Yeah, have fun with that lol

I just got accepted for publication again. my first professionally published poem!

thanks XD. I just realized I didn't know we could use gifs in the threads XDDD

17 days later

I just won first place in a writing competition! out of 145 contestants

Omg!! Congrats! This is big and amazing! Congratulations!!!

Right I have big news now. I just finished all the thumbnail sketches for my Houdini comic last night! Yaaaay!

It’s a comedy, I’m in it, which is kinda vulnerable of me to put myself on the pages, but yaaaaay! I did it! And I actually think it’s very cute!

And I’m hoping to go to college in the spring either to study theater or art as a minor and computer science or something else as a major. That’s also really really exciting too!
