I have been trying to scale my artwork to meet various website specifications and it's been a struggle. I'd appreciate it if anyone her can offer some tips on image resizing.
there are online sites that helps reduce the MB of the image and such. You can also Edit Image of your art to the specifications it requires. Or Edit Canvas if you want to just crop it and not scale everything since sometimes websites require proportions that don't match your art
Can you recommend a few. the few that I have tried are really not worth it. And I don't think I'm shelling money I don't have for any yet.
what exactly are you trying to scale down? Is it the size (reducing the MB) or dimensions (height and width)
image size usually, cause even cropping the dimensions doesn't help images reach the specifications required..
https://www.resizepixel.com/reduce-image-in-kb is one I used beforeYou can choose the size you want to reduce the image size to
I use Adobe Photoshop, but it ain't free.
LIFE SAVER FOR FORMATTING!! If u have to make it for WEBTOON use the website "croppy" it formats it to reach the webtoon specification or also mongee (the author of "let's play") made a mod for Photoshop which automatically formats it when u save the files! Hope this helps!
If paid options are out, you could try Photopea.https://www.photopea.com/
It's basically like a free browser-based version of Photoshop and has practically all the same functions. Worth a shot?
Power toys can help you scale multiple files at the same time.
You can use, at least for Webtoon and Tapas, Croppy. https://knicknic.github.io/croppy/
Or, if you're using Clip Studio Paint or any similar programs, you can always resize a file when you Export it. You get to decide the quality (Higher would always make your file size heavier) and even the resolution (widht x height)
