First time author here! So, for some reason, my naive, ignorant self expected more than 0 views on my first day published. Now I realize it takes a lot more work than I thought to publish a web novel.

Any tips or tricks or advice you have for getting subscribers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I agree with axelruler. I’d also suggest posting on some other threads, mainly because that’s where a lot of other creator are also posting and will see your work. Also maybe try their discord.

I’ve subbed to your story. Can’t wait to read.

Here’s mine as well if you’re interested. Best wishes! :v:

It’s about a funny farm. Hope you like it!

Have a daily comic strip called The Experiment check it out, subscribe let me know if you like it or if you don't either way is cool with me. The Experiment

It’s easy to get lost in the sea of novels on Tapas, usually it helps to connect with other authors, make friends and be active on the discord/forums. At least for a starter :3 You gotta use social media etc to make your story known outside of Tapas tho, if no one knows your story exists then it’s difficult to actually check it out

Just gonna share what worked for me...

1) promotion threads... but don't over spam or it may turn off some potential readers. And when promoting, post a sample panel or cover page that may be interesting...

2) community engagement... read, like, sub, comment on other people's work, participate in threads (but steer clear as much as possible from religion and politics. You might lose at least 50% of potential subscribers)

3) use social media... Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, deviantart, etc.

4) join niche sites that may have certain groups of people that may be potentially interested in your stuff.

Thanks everyone! Because of your help, I already have 17 subscribers! Things are looking up!:blush::blush:
