It's so cool we all listen to different kinds of music! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I can get afeel of what your comic is about!

The music sounds epic

Always love threads like these!

Props to you for checking out the music. XD I know my taste in songs is pretty explosive and loud. :hype_01:

I know those Coldplay songs!! :joy: I was going through them trying to find an appropiate song for my comic

I picked all pop songs well ,cause that's what I mostly listen to haha. But the meaning is what matters. Btw, the first link you made does not work!

There's actually a lot of people that listen to ( Heavy Metal ?) My ex listened to Iron Maiden and stuff like that.

And I wanted to see what your comic is about too.

Lol coldplay is good! :joy:
Hmm, the link works for me, maybe a regional thing? But I wrote the title and artist so you should be able to find it :smile_01:

Omg, I thought she was going to sing in Japanese!I actually like this song and her style! Thanks for sharing

Yup that's right. Heavy Metal. My actual comic playlist has over 200 songs. It's always growing, but some of them, like the Dragonforce one, and the Running Wild one have been with me as inspiration for my characters and story for about 10 years.

1 Silver Rocket - Sonic Youth (kinda the MC's theme)

2 A Sad Look - Clean of Core (for the sad/calm-yet-dramatic moments):

3 Everything is Alright - Motion City Soundtack (it would be like first arc's main theme):

4 I'd Do Anything - Simple Plan (Seymon is 12 and likes Stephanie, and the story is set in a time similar to the 2000's so I see him being the kind of guy who listen to this type of songs and gets all excited, even if it's just teenage love)

5 Dress Up - The Regrettes (Not Stephanie's theme as Silver Rocket is for Seymon, but almost there if she gets sentimental)

The comic:

I use some songs for my story highlights in instagram too:

I love afew of your music choices! It's like pop rock. Fun music. Light hearted.

I like A Sad Look Clean of Core. Thanks for sharing your music and your comic link!

These threads are so fun! (Also, I love you for including a Katy Perry song. The new album was great!)

So, my series is a sci-fi/horror with lots of military action. The following songs remind me of my story...

Grimes - 4AM has such a distorted and evil sounding beat - it sounds like corruption. And therefore fits the chaotic nature of my story.

Bjork - Mutual Core (Matthew Herbert's Teutonic Plates Mix) [same as the Grimes tune]

Enya - Cursum Perficio... It sounds like a war cry. Do I need to say anymore hehe? :eyes:

Diffuzion - Wired Tunes... Awesome ebm song about technology taking over. Fits the themes in my work.

Sirenia - Cold Caress... The pain in the lyrics here fits a certain two characters in my story. :broken_heart:

Link to my "Red Shift" (along with the cover art I painted for volume one)!

It's so interesting how we all listen to diferent kinds of music and you can get a feel of what kind of person or the story of the comic is like.

I honestly didn't think your music sounded curropted or evil  it sounded like a minimal version of it.

Yes I listened to all your songs .

Thanks for sharing!

And yes I still like Katy Perrry. I love her song 365 but didn't pick it cause it didn't quite fit the story for the moment.

For my comic "Paw Print Promise":
1. NGL "Honest", the friendship/teetering on relationship of Grey and his love interest, Redley.

2. Gani "Puppy Love" The lyrics are song by a female, but they fit the inner thoughts of Grey. And even the title of the song is fitting since he's a wolf xD

3. Matthew Mole, "Have I Told You" the song I'd imagine my Grey singing to his best friend/love interest (even if he can't sing well and even if that'd be slightly out of character for him) xD

4. American Authors, Best Day of My Life reminds me of Redley because he's pretty optimistic.

5.Groose's Theme from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword reminds me of any goofy or just regular conversation between Grey and Redley.

I use a lot of nintendo music for my episodes, so I would definitely say those all fit for each of my episodes the best. The lighthearted, fun, funny, and cute nintendo music really goes with the overall theme of my comic xD

So, for my comic RedZone-1371 most of the songs that remind me of it are nostalgic or melancholic... mostly because my comic deals with the feeling of loss and loneliness a lot. But also it talks about a new hope in the future no matter how hard the situation may be.

Arrow to Athens- City of Angels1 basically the tone of the song and how the lyrics talk about lost voices and the ones out of reach, it just quite represents the cast of my comic.

Vickeblanka- Lucky ending1 The song just goes about the whole world changing, but hoping for this "special" person not to change.

Hikaru Utada- Good night1 Its melancholic tone and the fact it repeats good bye and good night so often just reminds me of the nostalgic side of the comic.

Lauren Aquilina- Fools1 It talks about love and breakups. The characters in my comic have all experience loss in some way, some of them have closed their hearts afraid of being hurt again. This song reminds me of how my comic tries to show how people can learn to love again even after losing so much.

From the nuclear shelter1 And this one which is basically a song I composed and played as the main theme of my comic.Sorry for the bad quality of this one.

This is a REALLY great idea  Music is a great inspiration for stories, comic, and art! The main theme for my comic and my channel is dreams.

My songs are:

1) Owl City - Fireflies

I grew up to this song and it's such a light, happy, dreamy song. I just think of nightskies full of fireflies and blue lights everywhere when I hear it.

2) Loreen - Euphoria

This song left me in awe back in 2012. It's fresh, unique, beautiful, and a true masterpiece. As the title says, it is euphoric, and I want to give my viewers euphoria.

3) Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
Like the other songs on this list, this one is calm, but very euphoric and gives me a summer dream vibes. Truly a classic that inspires me whilst I write and illustrate. Not sure if I'll have a love scene in the story, but if I do, this will fit it!

4) Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen
This one is a huge favourite for me, it's magical, whimsical, light, and still very powerful. It's everything I want my comic to be.

5) Marc Scibilia - Jericho
I remember hearing this song on the radio back in 2015 and I was like WOW! I don't hear many songs like it - very deep, sentimental, powerful, and very dreamy. It is quite sad, too. I do want my comic to touch the viewers as well and there will be very deep moments in the future.

Honorable mentions are: Viva la Vida by Coldplay, Shake it Out by Florence and the Machine, and Be With You by Enrique Iglesias

Ok lets see here for TLC these are the 5 songs that immediately make me think of it!

We are Family-Kele palmer

Because its practically the whole theme of my comic

Evelyn Evelyn- Evelyn Evelyn

This song heavily inspired my twin character's arc

Rather Be-Clean bandit

again goes with the theme of the comic, and the piano makes me think of Keen as he plays it

You belong-Rachel platten

Feels like a Lullaby opal would sing to her children when they were little, especially keen as a baby

Its alright- Mother Mother

This song matches a group of characters that'll be shoring up soon in the comic

I have a full playlist of videos that relate to my comic in one way a or another here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0bSm6u9LdyMVdxGdvCDRyZjuB4mifPhZ
