Oh gosh your art is lovely, I skimmed over the recent page but have my sub already clicks sub button at the speed of light
I speak for myself right now - I like me some drama/tragedy. The only issue I ever have with it, is when my fav characters die (and most of them die too soon or at unexpected moments, or the death is just uncalled for). But I like the bittersweet moments, they're memorable. I don't have much experience with bad endings as a reader, but I created a lot of them myself for my own projects.
I don't know if this is a good idea, but I think you should go on with your original script the way you want it to be, and if people have a problem with it, you can release a remade story right next to the original? So you have two versions, and the audience can choose which one they like more...
I'm pretty sure Visual Novels handle the situation well - they allow the reader to go through different endings, and everyone can pick their fav.
I say that because I don't like when readers influence original comic scripts - in the butthurt demanding way. When they hate on comic just because it went the way they didn't want it to be. More often than not their influence goes in the wrong direction, it doesn't become an original work anymore, it may please the readers, but it might make you hate your own work in the process.
And on the other side, there's always someone who will complain, so from my point of view, if you get more positive feedback about your tragic story than negative (the ratio of 2 out of 10 being negative or so), then I wouldn't bother with the complainers.
Good luck with your work!
