With Chapter 03 - Dreams of the Forebears lurking on the horizon, I thought it might be fun to do a Q&A!
Got any burning questions you'd like answered? Well ask away and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.

Have you based any of your characters and the places in your work on places or people that you have either met or known personally?

My standard question for every comic-artist: How much coffe/ tea / whatever you need to work... does it take, to finish a page?

Have you based any of your characters and the places in your work on places or people that you have either met or known personally?

Yes! I always take inspiration from my surroundings, both people and places. Buntha Village for example (which you'll get to see in Ch03), is partially inspired by the city I live in. As for characters, the one I most directly based on another person is the Buntha Bear. I based his design heavily on my own father haha.

My standard question for every comic-artist: How much coffe/ tea / whatever you need to work... does it take, to finish a page?

Honestly, aside from my standard morning cup of tea, I don't need anything to get me to finish a page. It's the love of the craft that gets me to finish pages if nothing else

Kyara's father does make an appearance in the story! How or when I'm keeping secret

Will we ever be introduced to Zack’s parents?

I currently have no plans to do so. His parents died when he was barely a year old and has been in the care, like a lot of other orphaned city children, of a ruthless factory owner, before coming in the care of Old Nan. The factory owner in question will make a minor appearance down the line.

I will say, I am considering exploring Zack's family background in the possible sequel Trespasser - Odyssey. But this is all very much still in a conceptual phase.

Will we ever see Zack and Kyra go on a date?

Where does all the races come from?

All of the races come from outer space, including the humans. In the time of the Forebears, these races were all part of an interstellar civilization. By the time of Trespasser - Chapter 01, the world the story takes place in has been abandoned for nearly a millennium after a galactic war.

And why most humans are the military type, while the four hands are labor and others are just something between head hunters/scavengers?

This is mostly due to early development where I wanted the Citadel to be "human-supremacist", with the alien races being barred from the inner walls of the city. While I don't pursue this idea any longer (mostly to avoid a racism allegory, for which I consider myself ill-equipped), it is still reflected in early Trespasser.

So while in reality the races are a lot more mixed, I'm aware I've done a poor job reflecting that.

What's your favorite part about working on your comic?
Do you have a character that is your favorite to write/draw?
Do you listen to music while you make your comic? What do you like to listen to?
Can't wait for Chapter 3!

What's your favorite part about working on your comic?

I think my favorite part is the pre-production stage, doing all the designs and the storyboarding. Really, creating all the things from nothing and doing all the heavy thinking .

Do you have a character that is your favorite to write/draw?

Without a doubt that's gotta by Kyara, the main character. She's kinda the reason the whole comic exists in the first place

Though I'll add that writing Rowyn was a very fun chance of pace!

Do you listen to music while you make your comic? What do you like to listen to?

Yes I do, though not always.
When I listen to music, it's generally my curated playlist of video game OST, from games such as Bloodborne, Elden Ring, God of War or Final Fantasy.

When I don't listen to music I have a number of youtube videos playing in the background, generally either something informative or a video game stream.
