There's not a true or false answer to that question.

VSOD services have definitely now outgrown other forms of video media in pretty much every country, but some people do still watch regular TV.

Also like... "cable" may have always been a big thing in the US, but in places like the UK, our non-terrestrial TV, before the advent of digital was always dominated by satellite, not cable, so it'd almost be accurate to say people never watched cable here to begin with.

I think it depends. In the US, older people still prefer cable. There is also something called antenna TV, they are free channels that you can watch as long as you have an antenna.

Younger people tend to prefer streaming maybe part to Cable being expensive and some people don't own TVs.

Personally, I don't have either. I don't really like Netflix in general and I am too poor for cable. I tend to watch shows on YouTube or free streaming services like Tubi.

Our TV antenna fell off years ago and I'm too accident prone to climb up there and fix it.

I don't miss terrestrial TV at all to be honest. It all ends up on the streaming services anyway.

False, we got cable. And we watch alot of stuff with it, it's mostly because binging stuff isn't healthy and cable forces you to pace yourself and cable has less stuff showing all the time so there is less choice paralysis, we do have Netflix though too - in general I don't watch TV unless someone else is.

I think this is true for people under 50 in Germany.
I heard a radio show about that topic 2 weeks ago, they talked about
the average age of the tv viewer and that is 62(!) in germany.
I stopped watching 17 years ago because the program is so awful.
In the radio show they talked about how they can get the "young"
audience back and with young they meant 25-50. The people under
25 probably don´t exist for them or they know they can´t win them back.
I felt like the time for tv is over since over 20 years and I have no clue
why it still exists. We are forced to pay for the public tv and radio stations
in germany, you can´t even choose if you want to support it or not

My internet is through cable.
I watch things on the internet.
I dont have Netflix nor any other sub service. I do not own a TV or watch TV as I don't like to be told what I can or can not watch.
So its kind of yay and nay on my end.

I stream due to the amount of commercials on cable. That is why I don't have cable anymore.

I think streaming will become the new cable someday. You pretty much have to subscribe to multiple services just to have a decent library of content and those numbers eventually add up. Also they're allowing commercials despite paying for it.

I don't think cable is really dead yet since there's still shows that only air on tv and not everything is available for streaming yet or ever

I need to keep an eye on the news, and some local programs are nice. Otherwise I get my entertainment from streaming since it's cheaper than cable :o
