Tumblr... Do you use it?

I don’t go often anymore, but I still use it sometimes. I honestly just log in to post art then leave, then go back when i have more finished art. It’s sort of an afterthought now. My community has always been on Twitter. But tumblr is good for getting commissions too, as info spreads around quickly. I don’t read webcomics on tumblr.

I've been on tumblr since 2011. Even if I wanted to leave, I can't at this point :"") and it doesn't help the other platforms are only worse.
I personally did notice multiple blogs I follow going inactive after the purge, and yet my unpopular blog still gets regularly followed by porn bots... And welp everyone knows how the community on tumblr is, but I'm pretty careful about who I follow so I'm keeping my distance from any unreasonable people

Yes! Not as active as I used to be but I use it to make big announcements and share comic update links. Got a few false "adult content" flags on my main one which is sucky but I have a few different tumblrs for different fandoms. The Animal Crossing tumblr I have is my favourite, I've met crazy cool people through it and get to collaborate on so many awesome commissions.

I was legitimately never able to wrap my head around how it works so I kinda just stopped :X like my posts just wouldn't show up with the tags I used, or if they did inconsistently. And trying to create "next" "last" links for comic pages was glitching out for me as well.

granted, I still mirror my Insta posts there since it's an easy option that takes no effort, but like tumblr wasn't at all user friendly (for me at least) unlike most other social media platforms I've tried

I use it as a hook in blog for my website. It handles all the code, my code takes over and displays it how I want on my website. It loads very fast, easy javascript call. In my experience tumblr is terrible to find anything on and no one can discover your work either, (I see people are saying that they've got a powerful tagging system...I'll have to revisit this & try to get tags working for me ) . It's a great blog software. And free!

I've been using tumblr for nine years... I guess since it opened. It was great in it's hey day but it's dying down now. All the blogs I used to follow have just dropped. Part of it were people I knew IRL that I now keep in contact elsewhere, another part was the lolita community which I fell out of (and I think maybe they moved too?), and the rest IDK. I was using it lately to post GIFS on my gif blog since tumblr is really the only place for the sentai/toku fandom to share gifs.

I'm not sure who's using tumblr anymore. They scared away all the artist and they mostly focus on instagram, and the really ambitious ones that wanna make money go on youtube. All the young/kids who are into fandom are on amino. Even the SJW moved over to twitter.

Who still uses it? Aside from pornbots, people who have nowhere else to go, eg. me :"")
I can't use discord (it doesn't mesh with my old PC, apparently) or instagram (can't post without a mobile device), twitter is pretty bleh for a number of reasons, facebook is... facebook, etc.

I kinda hate how social media is these days in general and tumblr is the one website I can tolerate (though the staff is sure trying hard to make it intolerable).

ooohhhh... tech reasons.... yeah it really sucks that instagram doesn't upload on PC. I hate the run around I have to do. I was excited when a few months ago amino updated and lets you upload on desktop.

Yes, I use Tumblr. I love it. It is the best social media channel in my opinion. I especially like it that you can fnid such specific things! Like very relatable texts regarding mental health, anxiety and stuff.
But I also post my comic there and my artwork too.

I mean I only used it because everyone else did and some personal reasons. It really does have a terrible interface, I like taking breaks from social media so when I return to Tumblr I'd always forget how to use the clunky, terrible interface, overall I was never popular on it and it's just a hassle to use so I just stopped recently. I need to find my fellow men of culture somewhere else.

I've swore off tumble sadly and had since moved elsewhere like Twitter. Not to say tumblr sucks now l, I just think the flag not could prove problematic.

I attempted to use tumblr, and eugh it didn't go so well for me, and it just didn't seem practical in my particular case. I didn't exactly like how it was set up, nor could I even figure out how to use it right, like yeah I know HTML and CSS but like actually applying the code to the blog I had wouldn't work how I programmed it (and mind you I tested my program outside of tumblr and it worked fine, and just seeing that specific problem just made me not want to fuck around with it any further). All that combined with just simply no one but bots actually looking at my shit, just came to the conclusion that it just wasn't the site for me. So no, I don't use it.
