FOLIAGE TUTORIAL28 (click to open)

Heya everybody, creator of Kami Element4 here. I feel like it's been a hot minute since I've been here on Tapas. I've recently done a little tutorial on doing foliage and basically nature type scenes especially when it comes to comics but you can use this technique in normal illustrations as well.

So there's a huge link to the tutorial right at the top, I do my work in Clip Studio Paint but this can easily be used in Photoshop as well if you have good brushes. I say it's especially for comics because it's not a very time consuming technique because we all know how much time and effort go into our comics.

DON'T FORGET THIS CAN BE USED FOR GREYSCALE WORK AS WELL.

Here's the panel and then entire page which I used as an example for the tut. So please check out the tut and if anyone has any questions about pretty much anything about the tutorial, backgrounds in general or my comics and anything about art, just give me a shout and I'll to reply the best I can.

Hey thanks for sharing! Perhaps this will help me in my struggles of drawing grass and leaves :sweat_02:

No problem at all, it's always a pleasure being able to share skills with people. I actually used to hate backgrounds and now I love them.

I know topics tend to get very busy here on tapas so I'm just bumping this up a bit for more people to see since quite a few people are always looking background tips. Thanks to those viewed it already, I hope it was helpful.
