This is a really weird topic.. but well i think i can share my 2 cents:
It's an anonymous board, so although you can find a lot of trolling and overall negativity, surprisingly (well not so much if you think about it) you can find really honest thoughts and feedback about topics and/or feedback on your work.
I really can only talk about the comics and cartoons board /co/ as is the only one i frequently lurk, a lot of succesful webcomic creators and animators had been there. they seem to hate tapastic though (and later i realized the same thing happens in reddit and probably other communities) they gave me a couple reasons and somewhat helped me decide that having your own website is a must for comic creators.
