Ultimate Goal as a Creator?

Ultimate goal is to create stories that have a deep impact on the lives/emotions of my readers. I think back to how some mangas influenced me for the good as an adolescent and I'd like to create that same sort of experience for others. Short term though is that I've decided if I can't make money from art/comics by the end of this year I'll seriously consider giving up or at least doing it a lot less seriously for a while. There's just too many pressures and responsibilities that will matter more. So I guess my current goal is to grow my Patreon or become featured on LINE.

My favorite cartoon would have to be South Park xD though I also enjoy American Dad and Rick and Morty. As for anime that's difficult...maybe Baccano and 91 Days.

I'd love to live writing comics. That's the ''material'' goal! I'd love to have a series on Tapas, one on Image, one on Black Mask, one on Marvel and two on DC... simultaneously!! (nah, just one plus a webcomic would be a good place to be already)
Now, as a more ''philosophical'' goal, stories have this amazing power of making you relate, of making you feel less alone. Many stories helped me through good and bad times. What I always strive for (or at least try...sometimes you forget) is to make one reader fell less alone. Feel like belonging.

Also, when I was a child, I used to imagine dozens of shonen stories and I'd think, at the same time, about the kick ass fighting game that they surely would make out of these masterpieces!

@joe_galindez Tarot cards out of any story are so cool! I'd get down and die if I saw some characters I wrote as major arcana.

Ahaha, a game/animation/anything would be nice--just the idea of adding in music, movement, interactivity, etc. gives another level of immersion that I would love.

In all seriousness, just being able to create stories is the goal. Whether that is through art or music or comics or whatever doesn't really matter. We almost all experience the feeling of losing our sense of wonder for the world as we grow up and slowly begin to focus on more mundane things like getting the big promotion or paying off next month's bills. Thinking of new stories and coming up with new worlds and ideas just feels incredibly refreshing, and helps me learn and come to terms with myself as an individual more than anything else atm can.

I just want to see my work completed and maybe get an audience. I don't have big goals since I know that doesn't usually happen easily anyway, though I guess I do sometimes think in the back of my mind it would be nice if that ever did happen but thats wishful thinking lol

Finish it!. I am constantly battling against my procastination so I feel if I am able to finish a webcomic I may be able to finish other things, or something like that. And improve my drawing skills.

That somebody want to pay me for domething I made that would be cool.

I guess to create something I wouldn't be ashamed to show my kids or family,
I don't really know =P
I started my comics and drawing mostly to learn how to draw and make stories (also to not kill off my creativity in engineering) it's just a whim really
I just want to make something good to me and maybe make 1 or 2 dollars out of the experience.

My ultimate goal, I guess I want people to read my comic and when it is finally over, for them to just lean back and think "That was a really enjoyable comic". I want the readers to really understand, relate, and like the characters I made. I want to be a much better artist by the end of this, and hopefully much faster. And it'd be really cool if this hobby found a way to pay for itself.

Originally I wanted to meet a lot of other cool artists and creators, and I've already done that through here, so I've already got one goal checked off ^_^

it ain't silly I think, I'm lucky and was blessed with parents with such open minds that their brains sometime fall out of their heads and roll on the floor

from my family only 2 people have a link to my comic since I feel very shy and embarrassed to show the rest of them.

Yeah, it's often the case whenever I have a tough time at work or something, drawing stuff out is the only way to let off steam and relax. Are you often busy with other things that gets in the way of art?

I want my webcomic turned into a game too, one where four players can join either online or lan and have four classes to choose and the goal is to hunt down large monsters, raid randomly generated dungeons and battle other players in a large open map. Also merchandise, I'd love to have plushies of my characters.

I know that feeling. One minute you're working on your art for a deadline, then your mind drifts a little and now you're watching youtube videos well into the night.

My biggest goal would probably just to get the stories in my head out and into some physical tangible form, be it self published, physical, however. Most of all I want the to be complete as opposed to a mash of fragmented ideas so I guess just bringing each story full circle from beginning to end.

Any bonus would include having something become an animation or a game, especially the latter as one of the stories I've had stewing for a while (i think) would work well as such a thing. It'd definitely be exciting to have one of those fan encounters you see people talk about at conventions, cosplaying a character or just as someone who's enthusiastic about it.

I'd definitely like to have the chance to say I've inspired someone. I've always grown up on stories where the characters were able to not only entertain but motivate even if it were in something like an extravagant/fanciful fantasy story. That and just putting a smile on people faces, the world is a messy enough place as it is so to cast a bit of light to shun the clouds would be nice.

My biggest goal would be to see my comic turned into a cartoon series (and work in it, of course), but actually it will be a miracle if I will end the comic book. I've never finished a single comic book I started
Probably better focus on this big goal before the bigger one.

I would love to be able to have my stories in some form of a physical form, and put them on a shelf. So's that, when I'm old, I can look at that shelf and say, "I created something tangible." I'm hoping that that shelf will be pretty full by the time I'm grey.
If those stories have fans, a fandom, or I get to know that other people have enjoyed them, then darn it, that'd be great!
