My Hero Academia should go back to being about Heroes at an Academy. I don't know why this is so hard, but all of the best stuff in that series happened when it was about getting to know one class of wannabe heroes who are at superhero school together. I do not care about all these villains! Yes, their backstories are tragic, but they're still horrible people and not particularly interesting! I don't want to read long goddamn arcs about them, especially when there are so many interesting characters in Midoriya's class who are still underdeveloped! I want to read about a superhero school, the title implies this is a story about superhero school, how the hell do you mess that up? AAAAAAAGH.
Other unpopular opinion: The original Japanese dub isn't ALWAYS better. It's often better, yes, and they're definitely more consistent because Japanese voice acting puts emphasis on performing established character archetypes, but most of the time when people say the Japanese is better, it's because they don't speak Japanese, so they wouldn't be able to tell mediocre or hammy acting from bland or cheesy acting; the hammy Star Wars Prequel esque dialogue found in many anime just sounds less silly when it's in a language you don't understand. Often the English dub takes risks with more interesting voice types, or the actors put a really interesting interpretation of the lines in there and I hate when people turn up their noses at dubs. It's not the 80s or 90s any more, dubs are usually at least competent these days.
