This made me a little confused, there is no difference between drawing and animation, a drawing is a still image and animation is series of still drawings that create the illusion of a moving picture and they're talking about the software TupiTube in the Q&A, 2D animation software lets the user use still drawings and 2D animation and 2D animation made with cels lets the animator use still drawings, by nature, 2D animation is a drawing that is different from 3D and stop-motion animation, I'm sorry I got it wrong in the previous thread, I sometimes get confused by these answers.

This also looks like it's been badly translated from a different language, there are a couple of errors and sentence structures that native speakers wouldn't use naturally, it has a lot of hallmarks of someone not yet comfortable with the language they're using.

I think the incomprehension may come in part from "drawing" and "animation" having slightly different meanings in the original language. You're right in that we wouldn't usually distinguish drawings and 2D animation and for clarity people would usually talk about "still images" vs "animation" because those two are almost wholly distinct.

Yeah, whether the original language that the person was speaking did not know what 2D animation is made out of, 2D animation is an illusion of movement, so you don't actually see a moving image, you actually see still drawings in a sequence, but put them a display very fast enough and you get the illusion of a moving image, by nature, animation is a drawing, a 3D model or a stop-motion puppet, animation comes in all shapes.
