So far I haven't had much problems with the new set up.
However, in the notifications, having everything in white makes it hard to scan and separate from users and topics (I.e. [Username] has liked/subscribed/etc [Comic name] ) and it becomes this jumble of white lines.

@michaelson - I've sent you the email. 8D

@jjfresh - Ah yes, I have tested the old URLs. It's just that when I wrote that post, some of the old URLs (like episode and series links) have not been redirecting to the new tapas site. Now they're working, though (thank goodness).

Hah I knooow. I just uploaded with the new thing and it gave me the red banner and it took me a second.

  • Another potential suggestion would be to actually give the "TITLE" area when uploading a border. This way it'll be easier to notice. Or a background color.

Also, seriously, tone down on all the colors. Reds, greens, orange, in addition to regular greys, far more than necessary. Though, it works in this case.

Is there any way of adding the "Edit Title" further down on the upload page?
I keep missing it all the time when I upload new pages, I think a good placement would be underneath "Episode Info" (as it's where the error message comes up all the time whenever I missed entering the title).
Or maybe change the placement of the error message?

Since premium books and comics are now more visible on the front page (especially with the addition of books on desktop), will the availability of keys and coins on desktop be considered? So you'll be able to to purchase keys, coins, and maybe watch ads or tips creators on desktop too, or would you rather keep it app exclusive?

What is the Publisher Dashboard? Why are there only zeros? How can I get published?

From what I can tell, it's for creators who are a part of the Premium/paid program through Tapastic. So for comics like Moonlight Hair, They Say I Was Born a King's Daughter, etc. and all of the novels right now. There's no way to join this program without being contracted by Tapas (either by invitation or by having your work accepted by them). I can't check much else except for the main tab that the "Publisher" button redirects to because the links lead nowhere (they might be broken, but they could also be for contracted workers only, and not available to the general creator public that just uses the open-platform part of Tapas). But yeah, judging by the "Unlocks" and "Keys purchased" links, I can assume it's for people whose series have these functions, most (if not all) of which are only paid series, in which case, see above.

That's what I assumed too, but it's strange that it's visible to all users.

It was probably just easier to let it sit open for all users while they were still overhauling the site. It takes a lot of work to do that alone, having to change the priviledges and such for different users takes quite a bit of time and it's ubdoubtedly easier to just let it sit at zeroes for everybody (for now at least, which is what I'm hoping lol)

I really liked the old Tapastic name. The new name just sounds like you forgot to type out the rest of it.
I don't really understand the new ".io" for the url? if anyone that knows about websites could you explain what the difference between it and ".com" is?

All of that is explained it the blog post.

It's like they read your mind!!! OAO

Also, that was a cheesy input/output gag in that last answer. : P

Nah worries, not such thing as a stupid question.

I know when trying to install it for mom a while back I could not find it, I was only getting food related apps.

She came to me too because she said she was having trouble finding it, I just assumed she was spelling it wrong, but no, I could not find it either. Eventually we both gave up.

If I search it in google it's even worse.

Maybe due to growing popularity of the app it is more visible now, but it was definitely not on the first position when I was looking for it : P

For Google searches you can put a "-" before a word, no spaces, and it'll omit any hits related to that word. So say you're looking for this site, you can type in "tapas -food" into the search bar and the site will come up as the first result.
