Leon followed it. âCaptain, itâs me, Leon!â
Whoever it was continued further into the storage room, but not without firing back more shots. They were much more random than any heâd encountered so far. Still, Leon dodged them. But why would the captain fire at him?
âOh, I get it! This must be some kind of test!â
Leon continued following the shadow. An increasing amount of shots scattered about, but he had no trouble avoiding them. In fact, they helped guide him through the box maze.
Suddenly, he heard a thump and muttered cursing.

âWorry not. Your actions may have wounded me,â Roxie clutched her heart dramatically, âbut I wouldâve done the same.â
âReally?â
âNo, I have honor. I just wanted to make you feel better.â She poked her cheeks to form a smile.

Newest Chapter: Leon reaches the captains' quarters only to find that Captain Galhardo is not there. Instead, he and Roxie are welcomed by Emil, who should be a key figure in solving some of the mysteries around the ship. But if they want answers, they'll have to play a little game first~ ;D

Emil stood on his chair and clapped. âBravo! Bravo! Great performance! Gotta say, Iâve been enjoying your teamwork so far. Some people could take notes.â He spoke through his teeth. âBut now the real show begins. Hereâs some flowers for your troubles.â Emil motioned tossing out flowers with a wink and a smile. Five pink ones appeared, flying toward Leon and Roxie at high speeds.
Both somehow avoided them by cowering, but just as they did, Emil threw out five more.
âItâs okay, we donât need any flowers!â Leon pleaded.
âNo, no, I insist.â Emil kept tossing them out like candy. âYouâre doing such a good job right now! So in sync! Iâm proud of you!â
âYour words are appreciated, your projectiles are not!â Roxie nearly backed into the wall by Emilâs bed dodging a flower.
Leon saw that the spotlight began backing toward the left wall. âItâs kinda hard to keep track of the spotlight and the flowers at the same time with so little room to move around in.â
âAll jokes aside, you two have been doing really good despite me designing it for one. Iâm sure youâll figure it out.â Emilâs warm encouragement gave Leon a boost in will power.

Newest Chapter: There's really no other way to put it. The captain just straight up tries to murder Roxie and Leon in this one.

With his cape billowed at his back, the captain sent three orange orbs above and behind him. They sprayed orange projectiles that peppered the air like danger confetti, while pages from his handbook spiraled around him before being sent out in rapid waves.
Roxie darted through the orange and cyan with enhanced focus. She didnât have time to check on Leon,trusting he did the same. Her breath hitched with each near miss. She fought against both the projectiles and her own nerves. She attributed the sudden ease of difficulty to her strengthened will, but soon she realized the orange ones stopped coming.
The orbs turned black. A foreboding stillness hung in the air. It lasted only a second before they fired mega lasers. The two on the sides moved in heavy circles, while the topmost one fired down and up. If Emilâs attacks were jump rope, this would be double dutch. Triple dutch, even!

New Chapter: The final battle ends with a twist. From then on, questions are finally answered, and so comes the end of this saga. (Finally, a one-part chapter again.)
If I posted samples from this chapter, I'd ruin everything, so have a fun fact instead. This entire episode was based on Touhou. I got into the series just a few years ago and loved it so much, I made a Touhou-esque story involving the Galactiquest cast. That ended up becoming something of a draft for this episode. For those who've played Touhou and read this, you may be wondering "Where's the Extra Stage?" I had one written in my draft, but it involves a character who hasn't showed up yet.

âNo, youâre fine. I was just going to,â the staff major tapped his fingers against his thigh, âI was just going to attend to some things. Good luck on your journey. Nice meeting you.â
âLikewise, sir.â
Both hurriedly parted from each other, with Johannson practically knocking Mia over to get out of the building. The captain bolted to the waiting area opposite of the reception desk.

âHow much water can fall from the sky?â It amazed Mia more than it annoyed her, and getting soaked was not her usual method of fun. Lightning flashed. She couldnât even show it to Roxie before it disappeared. Thunder roared so loud, it nearly drowned out the truck passing by. âYou could make an ocean out of thisâŚâ
âThatâs what we here on Earth callâMy truck!â
âI donât think thatâsââ Before she could finish, Roxie sprinted away from McBeefyâs, waving at a familiar red truck with a familiar driver.
âCaptain Galhardo! Captain Galhardo, itâs your faithful crew!â Roxieâs curls glistened in the rain. Grey splotches splattered her white coat. âPlease donât forsake us!â Her pleas continued in vain as the truck continued at a respectable speed. âPlease! Captaaaain!!"
Her calls went unheard. The truck passed the end of the sidewalk, where Roxie stood alone. Both her arms and voice lowered, defeated. Once again, Mia used her coat to shield her from the rain, but with how soaked it had become, the gesture meant little from a practical standpoint.
