Anyone notice your views per episode varies widely. I understand going down is a thing. But how can one episode have twice as many as the one before? And not that the beginning. This is like 25 episodes in. Why would someone check out episode 25 but skip 1-25. It just makes zero sense to me.

In my experience, the view counter can be a little wonky. Last week, I checked through all my chapters for a specific error, and my views shot up by 400. I only have 100 chapters. Maybe one person read through your 25th episode in a way that made the view counter spike up.

Not really. After like my first 1-3 episodes, it evens out to be about 50-60 views per. There are some exceptions, but it mostly stays around that range. My mature rated episodes are most commonly skipped, so it might be an audience and content problem.

Yea, I've had something similar happen as well. One episode has 60 views the next has 30 and the one after that is back up to 60. It's hard to tell if people are skipping over episodes or if views aren’t being registered correctly.

I think Tapas is kind of broken. I had a problem happened to my view count when I was viewing my latest episode. While viewing it I noticed the statistics increasing for the one specific episode. I left that episode open for 5-10 minutes and the number was still going up, so I closed the page. It stopped, I don't know if it was because people were just viewing the new episode or if Tapas thought I was viewing as multiple people. I have no clue and I'm still wondering about that.

Yeah, its a bit laggy. It seems to update your dashboard views every hour and your "per episode" views as they come in.

I wasn't using the dashboard for this though, I believe the view count goes up live on the info pages even if it's a couple minutes late. I do believe it could've been a lag, I hope it was a lag.
