Webcomics with One Shot/Single Story Chapters

I grew up reading comics that normally had one-shot/a self contained story that still had continuity in them like the 80s/90s X-Men. Now most comics now have story arcs that last 3-6 or more issues.

But I always like the single stories so I'm doing that for my webcomic. But I was wondering if anyone else has done that too. Instead of having a long arc which last numerous chapters, each chapter has a separate single story but still would have continuity in them.

I try to do this with my webcomics. Though they veer more towards slice-of-life, where I think is generally more common to see self-contained stories.

I've been planning on doing joke comics. My artist is actually on hiatus due to his wifi being out and I really... REALLY don't want to start the season finale without him since people could lose interest, so now I'm just... TRYING to come up with a way to do something like this. Maybe a little slice of life or something. I'm not sure.
