I see you've developed the characters a bit more in the second one, but there isn't as much difference between the two as I thought there would be. I'm against redraws generally, better to continue with your improvements or to make a new and better thing. In this case the differences seem so minor most of the time that it doesn't seem worthwhile to do it instead of continuing the original.
The comic you have is fun, fast-paced, and very enjoyable. I agree with @KevinReijnders that in this case, more detailed backgrounds aren't that helpful - it doesn't make the gags funnier, and since the comedy/lighthearted romance is the main draw it doesn't add that much. The slight suggestion of a background is more than enough!
The one thing I'd like to see in this art style is less reliance on standard chibi/anime expressions and more unique facial expressions. Apart from that, everything seems to be just right for the kind of story you're trying to tell.
